I've never manually cleaned my registry. I used a free one that helped a bit though. Oh and don't pay attention to the "today only" thing, they have the deal on full time. Just basically start with the stuff to the right. There are better, but you have to pay out the ass for them. Worth a shot.

Registry cleaners can do more harm then good. CCleaner though safe ... is actually useless.

Wanna clear the junk from your trunk. Backup your computer to disk ... then do a system restore back to factory settings. This is the best way to safetly clear junk from the trunk.

Eusing has been known to cause issues with your computer ... so please. Back up your computer regularly ... and system restore to factory settings .... then reload your back up disk.

I've been using CCleaner...it has a built in registry cleaner. It's a well known program and I feel pretty safe with it. it offers to make a back up copy before running the fixes.

True its easy to cause problems if you manually edit your registry. But I wouldn't trust some program by a 3rd party to do it either.
