  • Put up a good fight, just wondering would an Amberjack put up an even bigger fight because they usually fight like sons of bitches making those quick deep dives as they swim towards you, I have experienced that first hand a 26 pounder, caught it with 100lb main line (braided) and a 3 1/2 foot 30lb flurocarbon leader with a 3oz pyramid weight and a 5/0 hook, I used live bait, sardine to be exact.

  • Nice! We're heading out to Wide Caloundra hopefully this weekend for a feed of snapper ourselves. Last trip out there, our smallest went 6.9kg so we're lookin foward to it. Anyways tight lines and again great fish ;)
