Their Jon Stewart gig was even tighter than this.... I understand it is hard to believe a band could be tighter than this but somehow, someway, they managed to out do themselves at every show. I can't wait for them to play my 30 Bday.
Anyone know what this song is even about? I heard this song a year ago and was like "Hey, this song's cool, I'mma look up the Dogman" and so I did and I couldn't take a shower for a week...
We will never forget the gig in Belsepub Gothenburg 1999 when EVERYONE in the audience were singin like 20 of your songs with three harmonies while we were waiting for you guys to show up on stage. The show was something we all will take with us. Probably a top 3 gig by anyone, anytime, anywhere. 10/10*
I love watching all three of them play! Ty wails, Jerry is one of the most fun drummers to watch, and dUg is just awesome!!!!! Just saw them live at Ram's Head Live in Baltimore Maryland and it was incredible!
doug sounds just like jimi...It's fantastic his rendition of manic depression at woodstock 94 was awe striking... this is of course besides the fact that Kings x kicks ass lol
I don't know what happened to the original comment about Rush, but I see all kinds of "don't compare, not even close, etc." comments about it -- Ty named Rush as one of his influences in a GFTPM article way back in 1991. No, not the same sound, but the same ambition, and that is to be the best musicians they can possibly be, which is Rush in a nutshell too...
Good to hear a man belt it out and throw in a scream again. Cant wait for that cookie monster shit fake angst to piss off and get out of kings x's way. A GODPOUNDING GOOD BAND!!
I embarrassed my momma on that one. I should have actually turned my guitar on which is always drop D and a half step down. It was the thunderous low end that was causing C on the brain. I think maybe the riff was to monsterous for human ears.
You can't compare them. King's X and Rush are different bands, and different styles. Rush is prog/art rock, and King's X is hard rock... They're really different.
I'm a big fan of Rush (many years!), but definitely my favourite is King's X. That's what i meant.
Two different bands. The most they have in common is the trio thing, the talent and the bass players singing... And as much as I love Geddy, Doug's the shit. No comparison.

I've always liked this band since the 90's . Their music is thick, heavy rock and soulful!

This song is heavy as hell. Gotta love a bit of downtuning and they kept it so melodic as well. The dogman album is an immense record. Happy times.

Much like 24/7 SPYZ this band was underrated. Vocals for both bands and the musicianship is unparalleled. Metal/rock with substance.

Hold on son! That last open cord Ty hits it a C. This video must be slightly slowed down from the album. I just proved myself correct...nice!

actually, kings x is also considered progressive, but you can NEVER compare 2 bands unless they have the same aspirations
