Yeah the blowers stock sucked but that 4.6 with mahle forged internals will stock support just as much if not more than the LS series engines. you can mod a ls to handle that and more but a STOCK bottom end 03-04 cobra will chew up 700hp all day and keep going. and when was the last time you checked the engines gm is using? 5.7 has LONG been gone. check your facts.

  • @AudiS403 so i was right about dissecting lol but anyways rocker arm 1.5 3/8 195cc 65cc chamber rings i dont know they came complete the timing chain is a lunati double roller I had all my components and timing done with the motor heads and cam done by ABEL racing in oklahoma city not sure about the bearings the crank is a eagle 4340 crank it was originally a 5.7 out of a 400 block but went with something stronger instead abel told me when heads get put on i should see 440-460 hp and about 470t

  • @thunderup86 Because not to lose you here..but the 5.7L Iforce not only has a completely different deck hieght,oil galley config,lower splayed main caps,different journal sizes for the crank, and timing cover that physically cannot bolt up to the way the GM350 was. but the fact one of the few trades toyota and GM did was when GM used a toyota 1.8L in the Prism. so I would love a link to a official site that shows this.

  • @AudiS403 my facts are fine they still were using then 5 years ago in the GTO then GM sold the blueprint to TOYOTA which they use the blueprint in there trucks slighty modified of course but a GM blueprint non the less mustang is ok but only because they are easy to work on and it does not take much to modify to make them fast but what MUSTANG fans dont get is stock to stock it just has not cut the mustard why do you think most drag car guys engine of choice is either a SBC OR BBC.

  • @AudiS403 thats funny last time I checked at my track in oklahoma city which is mid west where racing is KING and the most popular cars run 454bbc or 427bbc. I sold GM vehicles for 5 years toyota to this day has 15% of there parts are made by GM including the blueprint motor of GM's 5.7 toyota utilized the already proven 5.7 motor GM ran forever and just hands down made it there own by making it better.

  • @AudiS403 I also want to comment on the early 90's as well yes I liked the foxbody's much more then I liked the camaro or firebird hell I did own a 7 GTA and still like the foxbody more but only because FORD got it right put a good 5.0 motor 302 in a super light vehicle and also decided to make the rear gears 3.73 which was available for the GM but super rare and only available for manual transmissions but I can say as argument put the 5.7 TPI in the mustang and it would be even faster.

  • @AudiS403 and the fact of the early 90"s is the camaro and firebirds well equipped weighed a little more then 3400 pounds yanno and how much did the foxbody weigh? im guessing 2900-3100 My favorite mustangs were the foxbody's but there is a saying in racing. nothing can replace displacement why do you think they utilized a supercharger to match up with bigger V8 why didnt they just make a larger displacement motor? because they are a cheaper muscle car easily modifiable easy to work on.

And just so u no the new 5.0 is good but the way the r made it is like having a cam from the factory so they will not make no big ganes from a cam but take the ls3 and put a cam in it and turn it 7000 rpm and watch the fuck out. And on a side note the auto camaro is a l99 the six speed is a ls3 big diff the ls3 makes about 385 to the wh

  • @Kodysgirl92 your forgetting timing adjustment. power and torque gains from factory are made for "ideal" driving conditions. you forget to say with VVCT you can sustain proper torque load with with an endless hp band to peak 7500rpm. this technology alone cannot be matched with an ls3 motor due to its limitations on relying on one style valve timing. LS gains are better at higher rpm and most prefer an aggressive intake cam... but what if the guy beside you is putting down 60ft/tq and

  • I own both an 01 WS6 and an 03 Cobra and stock for stock they're pretty close. The cobra should have won, but it can be a drivers race. My WS6 dynoed 327 bone stock and my Cobra dynoed 370. Now with a 3500 stall and drag radials I was pulling better times than my stock Cobra. I ran a best of 12.6 with only a stall and a best of 12.9 with my Cobra.   • My 2 cents on this is ( the record, i am a chevy guy), 1.There is always someone faster than you. 2 I would love to see a video of an LT1 Fbody beating a terminator. 3.Terminators do lay down about 380-390 rwhp stock. My camaro weighs 115 pounds more than my neighbors 04 Cobra and even though i have beat him everytime weve raced, it wasnt by much and my car dynoed at 391 rwhp when it was showroom stock. The truth is that they are as good as advertised whether people choose to accept it or not

  • z06 ls6 vs 01-02 ls1 both ls6 but different f body comes with ls6 intake but diffrent part number from z06 ls6 intake. f body comes with 241 casting ls6 heads as the z06 it comes with 243 casting ls6 heads diffrence is the z06 heads are mil to 64cc to raise compression to 10:5:1 with sodium filled valves and flow 10 to 7 on the intake side to the exhaust side of the heads better than 241 heads but called ls6 because similar design

  • @ls6camaro00 actually the 241 is the casting number for normal LS1 heads. my '01 ws6 has the 241 heads but has the LS6 intake. you can find 241 heads on the older fbodies too like the '98 camaro.

  • @deadeyedickification yeah i know they are ls1 heads (stock but only 01-02) but its a ls6 style head thats why they call the camaro ls6 even with same style intake. 98 came with 806 heads and 99-00 came with 853 heads than 01-02 camaro 241 heads even till 04 vette but z06 has 243 heads. ls1 all the way!!

The mods on old setup was 241 heads p&p 224/230cam 581/592 ls6 intake ported tb longtubes dual exhaust 25%crank pulley spec 3 clutch and built tranny. Doing a new 408 with 150 shot but funds are getting tight because i want to buy an 03 cobra than finish the ss

  • 03 cobra Lol yes easy power gains to get about 450rwhp but after that its starts costing money thats what people dont understand that never owned both cars. Its cheaper to make a ls1 faster than a 03 cobra.

  • @ls6camaro00 its about time someone other me realized that! if a guy buys an '03-'04 Cobra, itll set him back ~ 22K. if he buys an SS/WS6, about 12K. put the 10K he saved from buying a Cobra into an fbody, and you have a 10 sec car lol. fuck buying a Cobra. GM makes the best bang-for-your-buck sports cars on the planet. hence the Z06 and ZR1 vettes.

  • @deadeyedickification i had a pair of 241 heads i mil to 64 cc put 2.0 valves and a port job with a 224/230 cam and bolt ons than reach 430rwhp with not spending alot of money. bought 2000 ss camaro for 8300 with 59,000 miles.

  • @ls6camaro00 and wow im amazed that you found that car with so little mile for so little $. mine had 97K when i bought it and i gave $9800 for it. tax and title ended up being 10,300 all said and done. but even though it has high miles, it drives like a new one. a few minor things like the A/C compressor will have to be replaced but parts are so cheap it doesnt bother me. plus im getting a good deal on some forged internals soon so its cool. so what exactly is done to yours?
