Great vid! I love being able to see other people's backpacking styles. To your point about minimalism, that hammock is enormous! Check out the Amazonas Moskito Traveler (sold through Byers of Maine). Its about a quarter of the size. I've been using it for a while now and I love it!

Way to heavy.you could shed probably 10lbs by folloing these tips..ditch the nalgene bottles and switch to 1oz (32oz.) poweraid bottles.since you only are eating ramen you only need to boil water...try a fire or make an alcohol or nesbit tab stove.10oz of alcohol will last you a week.your stove and cannister are at least 2 lbs...dump the samarai sword since you said you don't even use it for a Leatherman C33 folder single blade for $12.lots more.send me a message or watch my vids...
Hammocking rules! Your hammock is kinda bulky though. It must have a bug net or underquilt or something attached, because my Grand Trunk one is less than half the size.
