As a gay man who early in my career had entered into the process to either work for the CIA (as a typist) or the State Department, I knew that I had to remove myself from the application process because I was gay (and didn't think I would pass the polygraph or psych tests wlen lying about my sexuality). It has gotten better for me in my professional life as I can live and work as an openly gay man.
Hillary Clinton is not legally allowed to hold the office of Secretary of State because she voted to raise the salary of that position when she was a senator. Her appointment to that office is in violation of the Constitution.

@joebaseball17 Oh, you've misconstrued. I meant it as a compliment, if anything. I agree with him that it's not the government that is going to improve the situation for the gays. Penn is a libertarian (AKA, less government) so i was just remarking that it made perfect sense that he would be against the government, and how I found it interesting that he put that spin on it; I hadn't thought about how "the government isn't going to make it better" until he brought it up. So yeah, cool your jets.
