it worked perfectly. I had a trojan defender virus on my computer (my mom's fiancée downloaded porn) and I was trying to get rid of it but all I could do was make it's efforts useless. it's complicated to explain why and how but it was a hard feat to do every time my computer shut down. long story short I downloaded and ran this and now I can restart my computer without worrying about a virus taking it over. to all friends and family except porn watching Tim I recommend this anti malware.

Don't think Malwarebytes has a boot disc available, but you can try downloading Kapersky's or Bitdefender's recue CDs and see how much you can remove in order to get your computer running again. Once your computer is running, you can scan with Malwarebytes in order to check for any remaining files that may have been undetected by the other two softwares.

@petraheinrichs I found an easy solution, found the virus' folder and sent it to the recycle bin then... and heres the kicker... emptied the recycle bin. Its been 2 weeks and no further trouble so far. will let you know otherwise but ive been scanning with security essentials and avg and found nothing xD

Got my ass kicked pretty hard by something that acted like a rootkit, it destroyed avast and wouldn't let me run chkdsk or do a recovery. Went into safemode and busted malwarbytes out, killed the problems after a full scan. It's definitely worth having as part of your arsenal against stuff that make your other weapons fall short. I'd recommend it.

Part 2: The version on this video is the older version. The newer one is: 1.5.1.2.1300. I think it's worth it myself. Malware are those annoying mini programs, but are not really a serious thereat. However, Malwarebytes is a powerful little program and a great first line of defense. LoL, love these little programs and especially when they don't eat up your Ram!

I like malwarebytes as well. I have this and MS security essentials. I downloaded them after my free subscription to Norton was up. Didn't like norton much. I think it was a system hog. I have tried AVG. I use to only use adaware. But since a friend told me aboutmalware bytes and security essentials I have not used adaware or bought any new antivirus programs. I recommend both.

MalwareBytes worked, I actually love it. My computer would rarely boot up on normal mode, so I ran this program, and my computer started booting up again. Plus, it blocked most programs, and deleted viruses that slowed down my computer.

i have adware and whenever i scan it detects the viruses i have hotbar and some other stuff when i try and remove them through malwarebytes it stops halfway and says some files could not be deleted i restart my computer and it says my avast's realtime shields are off i turn them back on and scan again with malwarebytes and the same files come up. avast doesn't detect anything when i scan. what should i do?

@Pikatwig Yes, the free version of MBAM will work with about anything however I wouldn't recommend running McAfee scans and MBAM scans at the same time. I had McAfee and MBAM for about 2 years. My provider switched to Norton, still no problems with MBAM. Also, I recommend Firefox web browser with ad block and no script, they are free, and they stop most of the crap before it gets on your computer.

Malwarebytes is probably the best free anti-malware program out there. The good thing about it is it isn't a big name. People have learned to design viruses and such that can avoid detection or removal from the big name anti virus programs(like norton antivirus, which blows) No one thinks to make their virus MBAM resistant.

Whenever u think u have a virus just run a quick scan it will remove 99% of the virus jus with quick scan in no longer than 10minutes.

Most scanners take hours.

@aidenryu It's very simple. U download this program to your computer, and make sure the "create desktop icon" box is checked so there is a little icon on your desktop u can click to open MBAM. If u need the download link message me, I got a good one from an MBAM technician. Then u simply update, (I update once a day) and scan your computer any time u think there is a problem, or about once a week. If it finds anything u click "show results" then click remove and it does. It's pretty simple.

I was having issues with my touch pad mouse cursor freezing on me and causing the computer to lock up. I was not sure if I was infected with a virus. I found Malwarebytes. I did a full scan and it detected 2 threats. Asked me I wanted to remove them, clicked yes, computer restarted. Easy as that. Computer is running smoothly and it is not freezing.
