There are things called, "Emergency's" I bet that's a big word for you. Emergency means there is something wrong. If a 747 has a fire on board, or what not, it HAS TO LAND immediately, it will find the nearest airport to land at, bud.

Any 747 driver who had an EMERGENGY would find another 'Suitable' airport to land at. At barely 7100 ft, this runway is NOT suitable to handle a 747.! Any attempt (even if he's on fire) would lead to a bigger 'Emergency' → at the far end of THIS short runway.! Aviation 101 → BUD.

Your an idiot. Even with a massive emergency, if there was no chance of stopping, you would HAVE to find the nearest landable airport if you had any hope. Skidding off the end of the runway and becoming a giant fireball won't help shit.

It depends how heavy the aircraft is. A fully fueled 747 wouldn't be able to stop in time. An empty one probably could though. Also, the length of the runway's not the only problem. Tegucigalpa's altitude is 6,000ft. Which is very high.

y asi es KT00l666 tienes q tener una autorizacion mas y mucho entrenamiento para aterrizar en aeropuertos con relieves muy montaniosos.... como lo es Ton-con-tin

para q un piloto sea autorizado a aterrizar en toncontin, tiene q sacar un entrenamiento especial, con aproximacion a baja velocidad y baja altura en medio de montañas... Es uno de los peores aeropuertos DEL MUNDO preguntele a cualquier piloto.
