How about everyone that is complaining, get up on stage and perform yourselves??? I mean REALLY, it is a lot harder to sing live than one might think and the quality of the lyrics OVERCOME anything that has happened as far as singing. I saw the reunion tour with my family and it was AMAZING! There are a dozen or so bands or singers that cannot REALLY sing at ALL! His music has gotten our family through so much, I AM glad they are touring together, and the rest of you... get a CLUE!

I just don't like his voice at all, sorry :-p ...and no, you can look up ANY Overcome live video and he cannot hold the notes...he sucks live. One of the other guys is doing an okay job of backing vocals, but the lead is supposed to hold with it to create a 'harmony' ...which he simply cannot do because he has no talent. I'm sorry :(

Scott Stapp is the lead singer of Creed. Which the members of Alter Bridge (with the exception of Myles Kennedy) are also a part of. Creed was before Alter Bridge. So it is not really a side project. Just a re-formation of an old band. Both good bands in their prime.

Many times over, each member said their faith was an influence, but not a driving force. And for what it's worth, this song is the sound that Creed used on their first album, and I can't wait for the new album. Why do you think Creed is so popular? I take it pretty seriously because labeling a band with a wrong stigma is rather ignorant and disrespectful. For one, no one has to be a Christian to think like one, and two, like AlterTremonti said, influence doesn't necessarily have to mean direct. Because Scott was around an over-religiously zealous father, he grew up around "Christian" words: words, while Christian to Christians, that are colloquial by nature and meanings that transcend beyond just the religion (meaning, universal).

Creed isn't a Christian band. Each member has their own beliefs, and they all aren't the same. Stapp's lyrics are religious based because that's the kind of background he came from as a young child. Most of their songs can take on many meanings other than religion. They are just a hard rock band. Not Christian by any means. Do you ever see them playing Christian music festivals? NO.

Yeah you could, both bands have three types of song: Heavy, Mellow and an in between.

Eg. What if = Heavy, With arms wide open = Mellow, Higher = in between. Animals = Heavy, Photograph = Mellow, Savin me= in between.

Plus they both rock and are the same genre (alternative metal / post grunge).

Young Modern was the album i hated, as much as Linkin Park's - Minutes 2 Midnight, it sounded to much like shitty Kings Of Leon (More like kings of shit). Diorama was great, but i didn't like it as much as FREAK SHOW or FROGSTOMP, because those are heavy, rocki'n and good music.
