he reason you get fires at gas stations is in the states you can stick the hose in the tank then piss around building up a static charge while the tank fills. In the UK this feature has been removed from the pumps and you have to hold in trigger in or the gas does not flow so no static build up.
Remove the latch that holds the trigger open until gas backs up the tank and no more Gas Station Fires
