  • les falta mucho ritmo a los jóvenes para bailar el rock and roll, lamentablemente no lo saben bailar.

  • is this footage from Rose-Sandler House ??

  • Hey Folks,Been a while since i posted but Kenlo77 decided to fire across my bow this am so I figured I'd post some other stuff i've been learning (historical facts) To RonShiel:most of the women wore girdles or corsets the corsets were actually SLEPT IN & there is a woman in New England who is actually a corsettere!and they train their wasts to be that small!I'm wondering what the inside organs look like!YEIKES!If your intrested in '50's lifestyle PM me!Thanks

  • ok guys, here's the "real deal" most of the women who were in their 20-30's in the 50's were depression born babies.Their diets were rationed so therefore unless you lived on a farm where you had plenty of milk, eggs & vegetables you were basically rationed with everything so therefore your skeletal system didn't develope like the people of the 50's to present! Rockapappy is correct in his statement.

  • EXACTLY°!!!!

u were treated like a doll!

  • Not buying that for a second. A much bigger differnce is the activity level. There was no TV, no video games ... so children were more active. There was also a lot less junk food.. Schools did not have built in McDonalds. There were a lot fewer breakfast cereals that were 80% sugar. Malnutrition? ... hogwash!

  • .SO,therefore, IF THE PEOPLE LIVED IN CITY LIMITS,which most did due to loss of farms etc their skeletal systems suffered! AGAIN re-read the 2 statements from Rockapappy & myself & then drink a cup o' joe befor you go firing across someones bow!And attacking their statements!

  • Kenlo77;Re-Read the statement I wrote.I said "MOST of the women in the 50's,were born in the 20's & 30's.Therefore they were "DEPRESSION BORN babys" Therefore;their diets BEFORE 1950 (During their bone density & bone forming years)were RATIONED foods {if they lived inside of city limitations} if they were lucky enough to have lived on a farm HOWEVER, they had ampl calcium based food products (ie milk, cheese, eggs, raw vegetables, etc) at their beck n' call

  • i didn't quite do this correctly you'll have to read the 2nd post first then the 1st post second ~ I screwed it up! ha!

  • What happened to the 50's girls with 18" waists???

  • Great job!

  • the only thing different was in the 50's the women were thinner .

  • shut up!

  • paristie: well Im not joking in the 50's the women were more self contious hence they were thinner

  • & there wasn't as much processed food. people ate more nutritious & local (i.e fresh) food. . therefore they didn't feel like they had to eat as much. . . pretty sad really. I think now people eat more because they are getting less of what they need from what they eat. also back then people weren't as sedentary as they tend to be now. nutritional education, activity level, and self esteem all plays into looking healthier. that goes for men & women

  • rockapappy: One more reasons , I wish I were born back then ;)

  • @rockapappy Totally agree with you overall view of food. I keep slim, but not as slim as these dancers by following those guidelines. Perhaps if I also danced as activly as them I would be as slim as them, what great exercise.

  • @RedHead531 Bologna

  • @RedHead531 Everyone was thinner in the '50s (and '60s, 70s, 80s & '90s)

  • nice!

  • i can do that!!

  • I love it!

  • hehe. cute.
