From 50 to 65 you can also smith Mithril bars. It's a bit slower than gold bars with goldsmithing gauntlets but the thing is that you make profit by melting mithril bars. I made nearly 1 mill profit on melting mithril bars ;)

if you are F2P and are looking for a cheap smithing guide you can make iron burial armor (i), it is around 40-50k exp an hr, easily afkable and only costs 3.2gp/exp, you can also go with silver bars which makes profit

@gunz332 i personally dont like 1 def because you continuesly eat during the fight, every hit actually damages, u have to take much caution not to level up any time etc, cant do quests, have to adjust to cheap gear, also other people barely risk anything, perhaps its more fun and faster kills, and its not about the loot, but i personally like to see some drops when i killed someone =P

you will not "fail the pure" entirely because 2-3 defense levels will not be make or break in a pvp fight. More than likely it will be determined based on skill not defense levels.
