The next heavy album is Z2, the next soft album is Ghost 2. He may never get SYL back together (I hope he does), but he'll always have that aspect in his personality and will occasionally unleash it.

@lasoogneypubes You seem to prefer simpler, or rather more direct work. I think you probably don't like "Stand" because it takes its time and is very deliberate (much like "Heaven Send") and doesn't have a complete payoff. It definitely builds towards one, but it is evident, by the song's structure, that it is building towards something else that isn't fully realized in the song itself.
@LicoriceLain It's just a boring song. Especially the beginning. It's not bad past the 2:30 mark of the song but I still think every other song on the album is better.

Wish the whole album had more songs like this one, Juular, Poltergeist and Sumeria. I mean he's releasing his softest album ever in Ghost, so why couldn't this one be full blown crazy ass fucking badfuckingass metal?? Only a few songs felt like that. I was hoping this album would've been his last hurrah for crazy extreme metal. Guess not. Seems like he laid it all out there with Alien and just couldn't or didn't want to do it again.

This album was good, but I'm more looking forward to Ghost since that seems to be what he's most interested in writing now.

What I meant earlier was that this probably isn't Devin's last crazy metal album and he'll probably do something more SYL style in the future. He'll probably do it when he wants to quit because knowing Devin he'll want to go out with a bang.
@Spermwhales93 I think SYL came from a lot of negativity and stuff that isn't in Devin's life anymore. I'm pretty sure SYL will be left in the past and Devin has been very clear on that. I also don't see Devin ever quitting music to be honest..
