They were playing the sound the coqui made on the radio. I was afraid, I was going to fall asleep at the wheel.(Just joking) I know some other people thought of the same joke
@joseagosto1 El Coqui doesn't make noise. It is a two musical notes an octave apart or at a frequency 440mhz and then 880mhz. Pretty amazing for such a small creature.
@tard4ctfxc actually technically not an accident....they have been trying to get the little guy(s) off the island forever...you know "how can we make money selling them as pets" kind of stuff. Hence the saying they die of a broken heart when taken away. Hawaii just happens to have a similar environment, so it worked there, but they can't get them to survive on turtle Island.....wish they would stop trying :/

There are hardly real Hawaiians in hawaii. Most people are asian decent with Hawaiian a minority in the 7 islands. The Puerto ricans were brought for labor and coquis with them. The climate is similar so they spread over the island, but they are harmeless. If there is some species that is not welcome there it is the White people who manage to bring death and chaos everywhere they go. The coqui is just trying to survive like African Americans.
