Simply the Best - I miss his calls. I used to sat up late when I was a kid to listen to Ernie when the Tigers were out west. Fall asleep to his calls.

I heard Ernie a lot when I was a kid. Sometimes when my dad didn't feel like listening to the TV announcers, he'd turn down the volume and tune in to Ernie. I loved it when he'd say "He stood there like the house by the side of the road and watched that one go by". He even did that with Tiger batters too. He's a legend to Tiger fans. Thank you Ernie.
