@GoEagles35 not in 1988 it wouldn't have. after superstitious the american public kinda lost interest in europe. if 'open your heart' and 'let the good times rock' failed to chart, this wouldn't have done any better. maybe if it was on the final countdown record it might have done well, but i doubt it would have gone all the way to #1.

Did you guys know that Europe made a comeback in 2003? And since then done three solid albums with a less 80's approach. It isn't as easy listening as their 80's material but definitely contains some great stuff. You should check it out if you haven't already.

Yes I like it too. The music is beautiful, and the lyrics moving, especially when we think how young was Joey Tempest at this time. It reveals a lot : that, under his maybe a bit "scartterbrained" look, he was already able to profundity and reflection; but that he was a little focussed around himself, too.
