The reason the government won't legalize marijuana is because they would lose money. Court houses would lose money, prisons would lose government subsidies, and the stock market would not exist without all of the drug money that is invested/laundered in stocks, bonds, Hedge funds and all other areas that drug money is invested into it. Because marijuana is illegal it cost more, making it more expensive due to the risk of being in the drug business, therefore making it more profitable.

Paul, you can't just build houses that are powered by solar. You have to consider industry as well. Not all factories can be built on south facing hills. Solar isn't strong in different areas of the country as well. Some areas will have to send it to other areas as an export. I'm not a big fan of wind either. I'm not a big fan of this economy as well. I believe a cooperative society with proper infrastructure and a citizenry educated to use it is the way to go. Less jobs, not more, no slavery.
