  • Lazy;

False. You fell into the genetic fallacy and a whole lot of nonsense. A ~ non-A universally and immutably. Only God can ground therein.

  • Lazy: The Greeks helped codify the Laws of Logic, they did not invent them anymore that the astronomer invents a star he discovers in a telescope.

The Laws of Logic are universal and immutable, thus only God can ground them.

  • "...without God, one cannot account for evidence because god is the evidence for the precondition for the laws of logic ...blah blah yackety-schmackety"

Please explain to me why God is the evidence. You start from a bolstered unproven argument that you masquerade as a universally accepted truth.

And to say that Christianity is the source of logic is kind of selling the Greeks a bit short isn't it?

You're free to believe what you wish but please stop with the "true-because-I-said-so" parade.

  • God is God and everything in the universe is evidence of His existence. And anything can be utilized through scriptural application to prove God must exist. His existence is certain.

  • This video is great but remeber the only proof of God is His word, any other evidence would mean God is below that proof thats why it's only His revelation that reveal who God His. Also it isn't God just is, but God IS.

  • This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Thanks for the laugh.

  • This presumes the answer and ignores all of biology. What a load of garbage. Boolean logic does not require god(s) - it is done by computers all the time. Checkmate.

  • The issue isnt about evidence? Your right screw evidence.

Without god one cannot account for evidence? I thought we were not going to use evidence.

Non theistic systems of thought fail to supply prior conditions for logic? What systems?

The pre condition for the laws of logic is the brain.

The laws of thought require god? A brain might help.

Im done, this is causing my brain cells to leak out of my ears.

  • Atheism fails to the offer the certain warrant on how past events can predict future events & guarantee future Law from the past, under an atheist view.

Theism alone brings epistemological necessities for the future being certain for laws, minds, and the uniformity of nature.

  • Uniformity in Nature? Where? You can drive as far as the next state and see a radical change in environment.

Logic isn't some universal constant that binds anything. It is a system of inductive and deductive thought supported by specific axioms, easily 'accounted for' by the people that first drafted them.

Also, past events predicting future events is a matter of consistency, and is simply how the world works. You've yet to establish how lacking a god somehow suspends the natural order.

  • What makes God a precondition for logic aside from you stating it repeatedly?

Also, do you think God creates the rules of logic or that (s)he is somehow bound by them?

  • Everything physical in the cosmos is non-universal and mutable. The laws of Logic are non-physical and are universal and immutable. Only God who is universal and immutable can account for them.

The Laws of Logic are an aspect of God's nature, thus a necessary attribute which God himself is bound, just as God cannot lie, He cannot be illogical. The Laws of logic are not over and above God, just an outflow of His being. The Laws of logic are necessary but not sufficient, God is both.

  • The laws of logic are not some immaterial universal holy grail made by god. The laws of logic were inferred by men and recorded into a frame of axiomas known as formal logic. Saying that these axiomas can only exist if god exists is absurd, it's patching one unprovable idea by saying an unprovable being made it happen.

  • 'The Laws of Logic are an aspect of God's nature'

    God is eternal, yes?

There has only ever been god, yes?

That means a precondition to existence, by your logic, would be god, and all of his traits.

God did not cause himself to exist, he just is. God did not make himself powerful, he just is.

Therefore logic, by your logic, is merely one of several precoditions for existence, which is what atheists also conclude.

  • Can't you see that just by creating this argument you expose its weakness?

If god was the supreme overlord of logic, we wouldn't need to have this conversation.

And I'm especially offended by your heavy reliance on the Greek syllogism to prove your point that logic wasn't created until well after the method you are currently employing to usurp it's authority and warp it's aims all in one fell swoop.

Man created logic. Man created God. Man created everything. Give your species some credit.

  • Shouldn't that be redcommie?

In any event,...no, God did not create the laws of logic, though our understanding of them is a created one, and is only true to the extent that it reflects God's thoughts.
