what kind of headers are those? I have a 61 mercury meteor and as you know have limited distance between exhaust ports and suspension!

A 427 will eat a 428CJ or SCJ for breakfast!!!! Most 351 Cleveland 4-V's will out run a damn 428!!! 428's are good in police cars or they were anyway!!

@bjhump94 Yeah I agree for the most part good cruisers. The only one that got my attn was a Cyclone GT FB that hooked up very well.

@bindinglines Those Cyclones and Torinos did run good. But I wish that Ford had put the 427 in those cars for everyone to enjoy or fear. A 428CJ would hang in there with those 440 Mopars but it had be tuned up good!

niiiice, i have a 66 Galaxie with a 289...some say its a 302 but everything i've bought for it seems to fit as if it were a 289..

are 390's good on gas? cuz im thinking about trading up to a 390...

nice.. i found dad a decent 63.5 fastback w/no motor and brought it home 2 years ago, i have a good early 351w w/an aod that worked exc in my pickup i told him he could just have it for the galaxie but nope-he's gotta get a 390. his only new car ever was a 64 (not the xl) but a jet black 2dr fb 390 4speed. loved it except it came w/o posi. his neigbor had a 63 box-roof 390 w/this 3spd overdrive 4rth and he said it worked excellent. does crites make good stuff? i also have a 1970 mark3 460/c6

It sounds even better in real life, headers are a pain but the Crites headers come apart to make it easier. I sold the car last fall.

Very nice....I've been wondering what the 390 sounds like with headers. I want to put them on my 63 1/2 but I wanted to make sure it wouldn't sound like crap lol. Is that your car?
