@Mrmtl100 She's not giving mixed signals. Whether she knows it or not, the dog responds one way to one tone of voice, and another way to the 'good dog' tone of voice. He may or may not know that he's done something 'bad'--but he does know the tone of voice that means owner is not happy with him.
