This song has a special meaning to Yasunori Mitsuda. Here it's what he said in a interview about it:

"The ending theme, "Outskirts of Time," was something I was working on before I was involved with Chrono Trigger.

I was writing this song in dedication to a certain person, a certain person with whom I wanted to share a generation.

It definitely has a greater sentiment than the other songs."

And the original dream team does not work for squeenix anymore (I am *pretty* sure), therefore squenix would disappoint.

The problem is, square cannot use the chrono break licence anymore, it's passed out due to time everywhere except in Japan, which most likely means no more Chrono game. Ironically, they still kept shutting down awesome fan games such as CT: Crimson Evhoes or CT Renaissance... For this, SE, i REALLY hate you. Anyway, I'm pretty young,wasn't there at the time of the original CT and was happy that Chrono trigger was remade on DS, which allowed me to play that awesome Chef-d'oeuve.

You got to choose of who and what you were in the game. Not to mention the basis for rps of a win/lose bosses, sometimes its unbeatable for a change. Not to mention the ending it self has so many different endings of what you did. :D GLAd they came out with a ds game of this, and the last boss is awsome.

@nengaf I still think the graphics are great. The little character figures are incredibly animated, and there is such a level of detail on everything, especially the bits that matter (sunsets, oceans, floating magical kingdoms etc). The graphics have definitely stood the test of time.

And that's before we even get STARTED on the quality of the game itself.

The more viewers they brought in, from older and newer generations would have given it more hype. The truth is, sure, it sucks there isn't a new chrono game. But does the series really need one? Cross left me with an unsatistfying closure to Crono's story. How in the world can someone with the ability to beat Lavos, die during the fall of Guardia. Cross went overboard with the amount of characters and left little or no character development for most of them. Cross is good, but I'll never consider it as CT's sequel.

Yep, CT DS has a new final boss after you clear some optional dungeons after beating the game once.

And the PS1 version SUCKED because of the HORRENDOUS load times...You'll be happy to know there are no load times at all in the DS version :D
