When unemployed people are told to not even apply because they don't want to hire the unemployed, you BET it's time for a revolution! I've got hard working friends who haven't found work in over a year... looking in every sector. Sorry you're over qualified, oh you would just be bored and move on, now it's oh you've been out of work how long? Or told to get help, they need to be willing to live below the poverty line. Yup... time for a revolution alright. Because people need to eat!

Tracy is talking about the "poor" people getting theirs, as in a livable wage where people don't have to live in poverty if they have a job. Also, I believe this song came out when jobs were in a down turn as in finding one, and this song was written as a way for people to rise up and get theirs as in a job that gave people what they wanted.
