This song reminds me of being strapped into a really old wooden roller coaster with red skies and dinosaurs around, and Im about to go into a pit of fire with crazy indians running around it. Then I go into the Fire them a myriad of psychedelic images ensue, then I wake up and realize I was just on dmt.
This song is simply incredible, my favorite of all time. Has anyone else noticed how beatiful, sublime, raw, powerful, sexual and primal this song is? It sounds like listening to passionate lovemaking, or a battle, or a raging river. it has that brutal, savage beat that sounds like ecstatic sex, raw passionate and overwhelming, with a rhythmic beat that's so simple yet so incredibly beautiful. it like the song slowly builds to an ecstatic climax at 5:15. i plan to concieve my child too this song
This is also my favourite Tool's song. So powerful, sexual, there is something who blows my mind away everytime I listen to this, and another feeling who pushes me to destroy everything around me. Really, this song had a real impact on my subconscious, a real mystical soul. I cannot describe this feelings in my brain, that's why I love music until my last breath.
11 people need 2 be strapped down and force fed mushrooms while this whole album is on repeat... maybe then would understand why TOOL IS THE SHIT!!!! badass video man.
I underestimated this song until I heard it while high. All of the industrial hits/sounds and the ambient noise during the palm muted playing is amazing.
tool is such a cerebral band. somehow they can speak to the most primal part of my mind, and still be enough of a mindtrip as to make me question every thing ive been told is truth

Yikes... Been there, done that. Almost drowned on the New.... DONE FOR GOOD! I thought I was tough shit til the river taught me otherwise. No more. Done.
Yeah......the kayaking pretty much ruined it for me.....and the artistic video looks like something someone would make to make fun of people who think their videos of wet concrete are so "artistic".... (stewie, family guy......"oh im gonna take a picture of a chair all alone in a room, look how artistic i am.....")
awesome song but that kayaking actually looks like such a shit sport, they just seem to get stuck in one little spot at the bottom of a wave and only ever stay the right way up for about 3 seconds... where's the fun in that?
The video was pretty cool; nice job. I think I preferred the inanimate object shots.. like the wheel spinning just felt very right in the song. Not so much the rafting and such

this is deep stuff, don't even need lyrics. You could be from any part of the world and still connect with this song, that is what art is all about. Sad that 90% of the young population still prefer shallow garbage like eminem, Flo rida(gayest name ever), etc...
@hiphopispoop Im in that generation and it is really stupid how kids today think that music is nothing but talking fast, making up words and acting like your black, when techincaly, black people dont have to act like that, its all by choice. But im someone who loves true music, who knows first hand of what real music is, when life was the topic, not drugs or money. Tool is deff. the best (whatever genre lol) out there,

@drump1ayer See,I think drugs have done some GOOD things for us,I really do And if you dont believe drugs have done good things for us,do me a favour:Go home tonight and take all your albums, all ur tapes, and all your CDs and burn em.Cos u know what? The musicians who made all that great music thats enhanced your lives throughout the years-
Real fuckin high on drugs
Sounds familiar.Oh yeah:Third Eye-TOOL(one of your fav bands)Bill Hicks knows drugs are where its at,so does tool, so should U
Tool doesn't condone drugs at all, neither did bill hicks. Hicks just pointed out a lot of truth about them. A lot of drugs are useless, but some bear a few positive effects. You don't need drugs to be an enlightened individual, all they do is chemically alter you to aid you in going out of the ordinary thought processes. With enough inspiration, this can be achieved perfectly sober. "Fuck all you junkies, and fuck your short memory" -Tool
@StOnion Thanks for the retarded logic comment man...Although It doesnt have much relevance. Maybe you assumed I was one of those psychedelic "junkies" that thinks drugs are the only road to enlightenment? Thats not what my comment portrayed at all, and in fact I have the same mindset as you have about mind altering substances. And How does Tool or Bill Hicks condone drugs? To condone is to write off or object to. Tool or Hicks arent Anti-drugs, yes they talk about it but dont fully object to it.
@StOnion Maybe im missing something here,im a bit confused as to where the convo is at.All I can say is this:I am Pro-psychedelics.When used in moderation and used with the right intentions+purpose, certain psychedelics have various positive effects.I think they are a good aid to understanding reality and a good supplement for spiritual/mental enlightenment."Tool/Hicks knows drugs are where its at" is just a statement on THEIR beliefs and doesnt have anything to do with my personal beliefs anyway
@CORNP00 I meant to say it's not their beliefs either, never have they stated or even vaguely mentioned that drugs helped them in their creative process, hell, just the opposite for maynard. Hicks never said to do drugs either, he simply stated that they aren't as bad as others think, which is nowhere close to "Drugs are where it's at!"
I just don't want you to give people the wrong impressions on these artists
@StOnion Ahh i see, yes the quoted comment was a little misleading. And I know this anyways because Ive never seen Maynard or Hicks pushing drugs on people like a street preacher pushes god on people. Although I havnt seen them saying "NO!" to drugs either. where on the net have you seen maynard fully objecting to drugs? im actually curious now. i dont understand why some of their songs have drug references and promoting of drugs...that goes back to my original comment about Third eye.
@knawimsayinnnnn In what way? my original comment essentially stated that Hicks and Tool were pro drugs...stOnion took it the wrong way and thought I was saying that they were practically pushers and promoters. I said, no, they are not major promotors or pushers...but they do display a pro drug mentality in songs such as third eye. theres a difference between having a driving goal to get people ON drugs and stating you are PRO-drugs+sharing information about drugs, and your experiences.
whats the background sound on 1:44? does it has a name? plz help

@CORNP00 absolutely retarded logic you have there
Tool doesn't condone drugs at all, neither did bill hicks.
StOnion 1 year ago
@StOnion Thanks for the retarded logic comment man...Although It doesnt have much relevance. Maybe you assumed I was one of those psychedelic "junkies" that thinks drugs are the only road to enlightenment? Thats not what my comment portrayed at all, and in fact I have the same mindset as you have about mind altering substances. And How does Tool or Bill Hicks condone drugs? To condone is to write off or object to. Tool or Hicks arent Anti-drugs, yes they talk about it but dont fully object to it.

@CORNP00 Then why did you say "They know that drugs are where it's at" when you have opposite beliefs
StOnion 1 year ago
@StOnion Maybe im missing something here,im a bit confused as to where the convo is at.All I can say is this:I am Pro-psychedelics.When used in moderation and used with the right intentions+purpose, certain psychedelics have various positive effects.I think they are a good aid to understanding reality and a good supplement for spiritual/mental enlightenment."Tool/Hicks knows drugs are where its at" is just a statement on THEIR beliefs and doesnt have anything to do with my personal beliefs anyway
CORNP00 1 year ago
@CORNP00 I meant to say it's not their beliefs either, never have they stated or even vaguely mentioned that drugs helped them in their creative process, hell, just the opposite for maynard. Hicks never said to do drugs either, he simply stated that they aren't as bad as others think, which is nowhere close to "Drugs are where it's at!"
I just don't want you to give people the wrong impressions on these artists
StOnion 1 year ago
@StOnion Ahh i see, yes the quoted comment was a little misleading. And I know this anyways because Ive never seen Maynard or Hicks pushing drugs on people like a street preacher pushes god on people. Although I havnt seen them saying "NO!" to drugs either. where on the net have you seen maynard fully objecting to drugs? im actually curious now. i dont understand why some of their songs have drug references and promoting of drugs...that goes back to my original comment about Third eye.
CORNP00 1 year ago
@CORNP00 are you DUMB? you just contradicted yourself
knawimsayinnnnn 1 year ago
@knawimsayinnnnn In what way? my original comment essentially stated that Hicks and Tool were pro drugs...stOnion took it the wrong way and thought I was saying that they were practically pushers and promoters. I said, no, they are not major promotors or pushers...but they do display a pro drug mentality in songs such as third eye. theres a difference between having a driving goal to get people ON drugs and stating you are PRO-drugs+sharing information about drugs, and your experiences.
