@TheMrGruff Demons don't care for people who are already on his side. Especially those who don't really seek God: the devil has already prepared a place for atheist.
Demons, already have those souls in their pockets.. Why would they waste valuable resources... Atheists, are on their way to hell all on their lonesome.
I have experienced spirit possession and it is real. In fact much of what moves through the mind is not ours at all. The random nature of contact is what makes an act of scientific inquiry unapproachable. No two events are ever the same.
All faith healers and exorcist use advanced psychological techniques to simulate miracles and divine healing. Since god doesn't exist (all of the gods in recorded history are myths nothing more ) it is obvious that demons don't therefore exorcists like preachers are scam artist and con men.
@CMRDIvan Yeah, like tying it to your leg, jumping off a peer, and ridding us of your lousy existence. Maybe, if you're lucky, your savior Joe Nickell will preach to you about how your meager existence was the product of 'mass hysteria'.
@TheRudeAmerican Hmm. I don't think a rock will be able to do much in that regard. But since your so into imaginary friends, you can have it as a pet. At least this way you can talk to something that actually exists.
@CMRDIvan Your response is not even relevant to my comment. I told you to take your tangible object (i.e. the rock from your analogy), tie it to your leg, and jump into a river so there would be no possible way for you to swim to the surface. Joe Nickell's method of debunking is laughable at best. Anyone with enough reasoning can see that Nickell uses flimsy tactics to debunk scenarios. (More)
@TheRudeAmerican I think our definitions of the term "rock" differ. See when I say "rock", I'm talking about something not much bigger than the size of ones hand. What you are talking about I define as a "stone". So like I said, a rock will do very little in terms of sinking me.
@CMRDIvan (Continued) For example: There's no way the Government could mistaken its own Project Mogul project as a flying Saucer and then recant it later as a 'mistake'. Anyone with 'reason' - as Joe Nickell would so brashly put it - can see that something else happened.
@TheRudeAmerican Because the US military is suddenly an ultra efficient entity and news sources don't fudge the truth for the sake of ratings. Last I checked the military defined Mogul as an Unidentified Flying Object initially, which the media then turned into "flying saucer alien invasion panic now!" Personally I'll stick with the idea that the military tends to lose track of expensive things and that the news tends to be hyped.
@CMRDIvan When the evidence unfolds in the middle of your head you will understand what I am talking about. Until then I completely agree with your statement.
LARSON WILL DELIVER ANYONE WHO THINKS THEY ARE POSESSED IF THEY HAVE A CREDIT CARD HANDY LARSON IS AN ASS THERE HAVE BEEN TRUE EXORCISMS AND THEY ARE VERY RARE MAYBE YOU DISAGREE WITH ME ON THAT, BUT WE CAN AT LEAST ADMIT THAT LARSON IS A BULLSHIT CHARLATAN jOE ADMITS HE'S SEEN POSESSED PEOPLE HE SORTS OUT THE BULL FROM THE REAL THING...HE'S RIGHT LARSONS EXORCISMS ARE A FRAUD !

"If we would start burning witches again, things would get better." A bad idea of course but that is how some of these people think. Joe Nickell provides the truth concerning this charlatan.
@nergvol Joe Nickell is an asshole. He answers everything with 'mass hysteria' or 'uneducated'. In one case, thousands of people (who were miles apart) witnessed a large, cylinder object flying in the sky. Joe's analysis? Mass hysteria. Sorry, Joe -- this isn't the 1950's anymore. As for the video here, who cares. It doesn't change who Joe is... and that's a major asshole with a pinhole perspective on reality.
I love the good old 'Well you've never come to MY,such and such. I invite you to come see". I get that all the time. I had a ghost hunter do that too me once and told me to come take his ghost hunting class,so i did and it was even worse and more lame than I imaginged it would be.
Personally, as a skeptic, this is a pointless argument with way woo much circular reasoning. But you know what: Pastor Roger knows his shit lol. I would have liked to hear him talk more.
Joe, like any good skeptic asked intelligent questions and got nothing but psycho-babble from Larson.
Which is par for the course with him, he's nothing but a con man. His books have all been written for him (look up Bonnie Bell to find out) and he bilks his victims out of millions every year.
If there were any justice in the world, he'd be in jail next to Kent Hovind. Another fraud and con-man.
@Blacksmith1964 Clearly you are not well informed. If you were you wouldn't buy Joe's speech hook, line, and sinker but like most people you prefer to have a self made authority do the thinking for you. Beats having to put in the time to research it for yourself.
@Blacksmith1964 If there's ANY BABBLE at all, it's from the pseudo-scientific psychologist... Psychology CURES NOTHING, I dare ANYONE to prove me wrong on this.
The *skeptic* made weak arguments? All Bob Larson said over and over again is that he wasn't in personal attendance. Now, if personal attendance is what it takes to justify your belief in exorcism, first of all, why is this televised? He should invite every Christian who watches it to personally attend, so they can "see for themselves." And then the other pastor... "I've had a series of events where I just KNOW..." Unscientific, unreasonable, fallacious.
Furthermore, anyone who knows anything about the CFI knows that they, in combination and cooperation with the more prominent (in this realm) CSICOP, investigate claims *VERY* similar to this and debunk them *CONSTANTLY*. Carefully diagnosing all psychological problems would mean diagnosing ALL his 'clients' as probably schizophrenic, since the DSM recognizes that as a severe disconnection with reality. Let's face it, folks, in reality, there are better explanations.
Y yo que pensaba que ya habiamos superado toda esta suerte de supersticiones y mitos.
