i have a question, does competitive gaming have restrictions on the unlockables you can use?For example there are plenty of videos you see medic using the Kritzkrieg, but never seem one that uses blautsauger. Is it because it's not allow?or its just not worth using in competitive play?cuz i thought blautsauger gives medic much better survivability even though you dont get critz.

Spies are in genra not picked, because decent players can easily spot a spy, when its only 6v6.

The reason to that you cant you Sandman, is because you can stun people who has been ubered, which is pretty overpowered.

in these tournaments they dont use any unlocks

They use the medic unlocks and I've seen a few use the flare gun and the axe upgrade. I believe the sandman + spy/sniper unlocks are the only ones banned. spy/sniper stuff because of the random unlock system.

No weapons are upgrades, they're just there to introduce different playstyles for different people.

Uber saw, blut, the pyros' ax, and the KGB are all better than the normal weapons, they're clearly upgrades and the rest are sidegrades. Why would you ever use the normal weapons over any of the ones I listed? sudden death melee? that doesn't make a difference in cevo.

Bone saw has faster firing rate and confirmed higher crit rate than any melee weapon. Pyro's Fire axe has faster firing and a high chance of crit upon a non-burning player. Fists have a taunt kill, faster firing speed. As it stands now, the blutsauger is a sad exception that puts the syringe gun to shame, and nobody can deny that.

The weapons you have equipped now in your load out, are probably the ones you excel at. Other people excel at completely different tactics and play styles.

No crits in cevo so that doesn't matter, and if your medic has his melee out he will usually soon be dead so a slightly faster swing makes almost no difference. In fact, there was one top ten video where a medic was SAVED by his uber saw because it topped off his uber just in time.

I have never seen a cevo player taunt kill in a match unless they were completely dominating the other side so that point is moot.

I've been talking about pro matches, you've been talking about pubs/pugs.

@The3Kidz There are few weapons used different than stock, like ubersaw, equalizer or kritzkrieg. You probably won't see a soldier with a direct hit or a scout with a force-a-nature becuase this guys practice so much with stock guns learing different ones would be just unuseful... It's like trying to learn to use a p228 instead of a usp in CS, or a aug instead of famas. Both great but stock is enough...

Not for cevo level, there is a big difference in awareness and communication between them and a pub. They usually use ventrillio or some other third party system so they can always talk to each other, after one stab the spy is usually dead.
