  • I agree that this version of Captain Comic sucks, but the original DOS version is awesome. It was the first video game that I ever played (when I was about about 4 in 1999, yes, my parents still had a Windows 3.1 computer in '99 ) and I have yet to complete it, but haven't played it since that 3.1 computer died like 5 years ago (My dad really liked that computer, even after he got one w/XP). It is a game that takes a lot of skill, and is challenging, but I would still recommend the DOS version.

  • lol at the end with back to the future :D

  • I have to admit you have a point at the end. How the hell did some bad games get the seal of approval?

  • Despite the updated version from the PC Shareware game, the controls were much worse on the NES version.

  • lol when you said that they wroted the ratings from dos version i just laughed!

i know i should be yelling and swearing on this game, but it was SO pathetic that i actually pissed myself out of laughing

  • The PC version was the first video game I ever played.

  • Quality review

  • what is this NC

  • neverchris is the shit!!!

  • the PC version is awesome!!

  • on the cp

  • ok ya im looking for the first version you showed there how do i get to it

  • go neverchris and the other guy!!!! yay

  • It really sucks when you buy a videogame, and the packaging come with reviews of OTHER console versions of the same game that are NOT the version that you bought! I had the same things happen to me when I bought an Amstrad CPC game on ebay- the box showed pictures of the C64 version of the same game! The C64 version was better because it had color in it, but the Amstrad CPC was just black and white crap!!!! in the CPC box, it even said, "game pictures may be a different version." .....WHAT?!

  • What's wrong with German prostitutes?

  • they actualy removed the "of quality" part from there seal

  • Heh heh. That was a great review. It certainly is inferior to the PC version.

  • i dont get it, why play these games. if there soo bad??

its just a waste of time.

but i think its kool that ur having guest hosts. are u having a review with guru larry??

  • Because you have to mix it up when doing reviews. Reviewing only games that are good or only games that are bad can get stale.

Yeah, Larry is coming up soon.

  • Damn..... never chris. How did you get here?

  • This kinda reminds me of first Metroid game, having super short beam and enemies on ground you couldn't shoot was really annoying. :p

Cool thing you have these quest reviewers. keep it up and I hope you won't go insane while doing this. XD

  • Neverchris is cool! Nice review.

  • whos on the second voice?its a BIT annoying ^_^"

oh this game really looks familliar, dunno why,but i THINK i played it on the PC version

  • Really? I like his voice, it's very non-traditional as far as voice-overs go and he has a quick wit.

  • Jesus, I got the PC version on my old computer and think it's pretty darn good.

I have a blue CD with 251 freeware games and some demos that came with a magazine.

Wait... The CD had lot's of games like Commander Keen, Wolfenstein, etc... I don't think that's legal, but that CD made me into a gamer.

  • man i used to have this for my computer way back in tha day it was actually pretty good for it's time. especially way back in the day..

and he was completly blue in the dos version... the sound was better on the dos too. man i used to love that game... till i found out i could play turtles on c64... then i never touched it again.

  • i like when you review NES games...=]

  • whats funny is i played this game just yesterday

Its weird the control is hard to get used to. Well its just slippery.

  • Do you think the original DOS version was trying to jump on the Commander Keen bandwagon?

Oh, whats with the ducktape on the cartridge as well? is that a security strip underneath?

  • yeah, it's one of those old skool anti-theft metal strips.

  • Ah, the old ones that would cancel out if you rubbed a magnet along them!

You gotta laugh for their assumption that someone would want to steal it in the first place :D

  • woot! awesome review

  • awseome, i more game ill never touch

*marks the 5 millionth game to never touch....EVER*

  • Another awsome review
