  • lol it stole your ciggs?

btw, why do you yanks always bitch about everything and anything in youtube threads...jeeeeeez

  • @TerumiYuuki16 grow up. I love crows.

  • Man, you people are fierce. Seems like every video has an argument about legality on bird ownership. I'm not going to sit and judge, not going to say one thing or the other. I will say that people pirate movies and videos every day and it's against the law. These laws wouldn't be the first violated.

  • What a health-conscious crow!

  • If we raised the ban on keeping crows as pets, do you have any idea how many stupid teens would want one because it's "cool?" You have to have a lot of time and patience to devote to crows, they shit everywhere, and other things besides. They are NOT dogs. they're wild animals.

  • @RinEditionB You obviously haven't read much about bird intelligence. They have been compared to primates and actually much more intelligent. They have the use of tools and can also mimic vocalizations. Chimps and bonobos nor any primate can for that matter. If you are interested you should read up on the motor and neurological findings of even the simplest of finches!

  • @RinEditionB Oh and I totally agree that they are wild animals. Unfortunately we are an encroaching species. We have managed to decimate quite a few millions of species(amphibians insects and so forth) If you ever have the opportunity to help one of these wonderfully intelligent animals, I truly hope that you do.

  • BTW, cool pet you have there. I don't have the time or ability to have a pet crow myself, but more power to you. IMHO, we have too many laws and we need to have more of a libertarian philosophy. As Ayn Rand put it, "creating more laws makes more criminals." I'm sure pet crows have a better life than the ones in the wild. True, they are wild birds but if you find an orphaned baby crow and want to keep him/her as a pet, I have no problem with that.

  • FYI for everyone. It is illegal to have a crow in the USA. They are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. It is a federal offence. If injured, they have to go to a licensed wildlife rehabber. You are not allowed to help an injured crow by law unless you have permits.

  • @Wildliferehab10

My sister raised and released a crow without all the red tape bullshit you srem to support. We used to get bounties for shooting crows. The thing that you don't realise, is that certain classes of "pest" animals thrive best living in near proximity to humans. They also seem to make the most affectionate pets when domesticated. You want to fight that, or accept our natural companions?

  • The spirit of the migratory bird laws are to PROTECT them. There are not enough resources @ wildlife rehab facilities & they prioritize endangered species. Common birds often get euthanized if there isn't enough room. Being "not allowed" to help injured wildlife by law is ridiculous and defies the original spirit of that law. Just educate yourself FIRST before you accidentally do more harm than good, Any legit rehaber will give you advice in the right circumstances.

  • The crow was systematically checking under each section of the jacket. Very interesting.

  • I envy you your crow.

I always have wanted a pet crow!

  • ooooooooooops! sorry. Well what a cool crow anyway, so keep saying hello to it and it'll learn faster than a parrot, then you'll know it's the same crow everytime you hang out there. lol

he sure does seem tame as though he was someones pet at one time.

p.s. I guess birds dont like smokers. LOL!

  • i believe smoke is really toxic to birds

  • teach him to talk and dont delete my comment this time. jeez!

  • your comment was not deleted. it was just 'pending approval'. The crow is not ours so we have no plans to teach it to talk. It just hangs out at our friend's place.

  • have you taught him to talk yet?? apparently crows have a far bigger vocal range than parrots. I used to have a pet crow when I was young, but he flew off one day when a female came around. typical man. lol!
