It used to an aperture on the north pole of the moon untill it was bombed .The aperture leads to the hollow part of the moon and is said to be the entrance and exit point for UFO's.the black patch is actually the deliberate masking/cover up of the hollow opening by Nasa.

i was watching the history channel and they was talking about a moon mission. they were lowering a rover and a cable snapped and the rover hit the moon surface really hard causing it to ring like a bell for hour, proving it to be hollow.
