So sad r.ip :( she died really young and Madonna was so little .

    I love you both Madonna.<3

  • Very touching. Am sure her mother gave her such profound inspiration. Beautiful video.

  • She was a very beautiful woman.

  • This video is so sad because not only did her mom die of cancer she left children behind.Madonna needed a mother and Lourdes needs a grandmother.pitiful

  • PARABÉNS PELA POSTAGEM DO VÍDEO!!! MUITO LINDO!!!!!

  • wow that was beautiful, thank you for making such a lovely video x:)

  • I think Madonna looks like her Mother ....both beautiful

  • The best things in life are free.

  • Just to those who never liked their living parents.... u guys are living in a heaven while ur parents are still alive... people who owns the world would pay their lives, fame, and money for a single second to hug their dead parents. madonna visits her mom's grave since she was a child daily. u r stupid, go and tell ur mom that u love her, and your father that u never meet a man like him before it's too late.

  • cries a lot with this video te amo mdaonna

  • Goodness...her mother is more beautiful than her

  • Madonna's mother seemed like such a nice lady. It's good to know she's in Heaven now.

  • Her old old grandfather called Fortin, had left "la Sarthe" county in 1800 & something. He took the boat for Canada.

  • Dear Madonna keep praying for your daughter

  • MY NAME IS DIEGO I'M FROM BRAZIL, I CAN SEE THIS VIDEO, SO BEAUTIFUL, EMOTION, I'M CRYING!

  • She's the Mother of our Queen!!! The Mother Queen!! Long live MAdonna the one and only Queen of Pop!!!!!!!! Forever!!!!

  • Her mom was of Québec descent(french-canadian)

  • @AmaoNoBolso I'm Québécois haha :P and proud of it :)

  • @AmaoNoBolso it's curious that surname is widespread in Italy too

  • @EllliotJackRussel2 what surname?

  • when she was a girl she was very similar as my mother!! the similities are crazies!!!

  • beautifull

  • I think it is wrong remembering someone you don't know. Those images you show are very private. Losing a parent at a (very) young age is painful, I can confirm it.

  • Madonnas mum will be so proud of her she is a legend and her mother too! love and peace always!

  • the song is beautfiul but ' little girl' would have been perfect for this video..... its all about her as a child missing her mother....... and the video shows her ( madonna the famous singer) at the cemetry and in the blond ambition documentray she sings that song... it is simply heart wrenching..... however, this video is a beautiful dedication to madonnas mother... i am sure if madonna saw this she would be really grateful...... thank you.

  • Madonna's song Promise to try would have been better for this video since the song is about her mother .

  • Thank you for this video, what made us think about how lucky we are having a loving mother around us! And not forgotting about Madonnas mother, and trough this video we can may thank her to giving birth to the one and only Madonna!

  • people hate on here but listen we all have a heart and we all go through pain. much love madonna. may you one day reunite with you beloved mother.

  • I always saw the sadness in Madonna's eyes. i didn't really understand until my mum Patricia Sheehan died of cancer.... so many of us have gone thru this heartache... music helps, words help, love helps..

  • why this song and not a madonna's song?

  • Beautiful video

  • beautiful video...I started to tear up

  • that is beautful, im sure madonna would love this...

does anyone know when madonnas mums birthday was? i cant find it anywhere,

i know she was a cancer.

  • @NoosesGive i read about this somewhere,

her birthday was in June, i guess.

  • I AM A MADONNA FAN HENCE WHY I FOUND THIS BUT DESPITE IT THIS REALLY IS A BEAUTIFUL VIDEO AND A GREAT HOMAGE AND A REMINDER TO ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE LOST SOMEBODY. VERY NICE. XXX

  • @LyricalMiracles Thanks for the upload. I appreciate this tribute to Madonna's mother. It made me appreciate my memories of my own mother.

;-) Ciao!

  • love this ; ) very pretty, gracias!

  • Makes me weep..How very touching.

  • @sandrodream1 Good for you! keep doing that. I my mothertongue is spanish but i also like music in inglish and i do consider Madonna as a good singer, that's why i watch this videos, if u don't, don't watch them just for saying this kind of things

  • @sandrodream1 good for you.

  • @sandrodream1 asI I said... if u don't like her, don't watch this kind of videos

  • Thank you, thank you for making this vid. Makes me feel so moved and so proud at the same time since I'm from Québec too (Madonna Louise Fortin was French-Canadian) and it feels so great to know that Madonna is somehow connected to us because of her mother... and yes, she was an amazing women, Madonna keeps saying it, she wrote a song for her and for her dad... god bless this woman.

  • she retracted too when she was growing up. For awhile she would vomit when she went out anywhere, and she liked to stay home to feel safe. I think retracting is normal.

  • I don't know what's worse. Losing your mother so young, or being raised by her and growing up loving her then having her snatched away from you...

  • @lynhamp

losing her young is worse, I think. because at least you'd have plenty of memories to look back on. Madonna was too young to have many memories. And she didn't have a mother to raise her. It's hard to look at it that way, though, because you don't want either option. :(

    such a great video.

  • lovely and thanx madonna fortin

  • her mother was French. I think Madonna looks like both parents.

  • @GlossyShoes French-Canadian actually. Big difference. :)

  • w ITALIAN FAMILY

  • where did you get the photos from of Madonna's mother??

  • She was such an amazing woman. Even though I didn't know her I know it because her daughter is something special, so she is too

  • Yes, her daughter is the most special woman in the world

  • Madonna's mother will be looking down on her daughter and be so proud of what shes done and accomplished in her life. This video is so sad, and the Nightline interview caps went really well. That interview made me wanna cry, :( anyways good job and r.i.p to Madonna Fortin Ciccone.
