Carl is such a chode, who the fuck crashes a car on the out lap! Then back it up with his WRECKLESS driving in the Nation Wide race. As if crashing one car wasn't enough... his dumbass move today with 2 laps to go in turn 2 took out like 6 or 7 cars.
Looks like some thing comes off the front of Carl's car? at first I thought it was a wheel but its still on after the crash... To me looks like some thing came off causing him to go right..... Maybe next time they should get some one who can race these cars like Marcos to join him.
I don't see anything come off, but he clearly crashes due to running up on the curb & accelerating. There is no traction on a wet curb and it causes him to lose grip.
I was at the race yesterday and it started raining after the 1 recon lap. I was bummed that they never had a chance, but both are on the front row for the Nationwide race
how good Marcos is at road racing and that he's driven different cars in Europe. But Carl is now pretty quick too and he will start on the front row in tomorrows Nationwide race. Lets hope for a good clean race for both of the boys.
hmm. I think I'll trust someone who's been racing for 22 years over someone who's been a corner worker for 16. Ambrose reckons there was rain, so I'll take that on board.
Anyhoo, looks like he's either hit the ripple strip (nasty even in dry weather) or it's lost traction on the gear change
Carl Edwards SUCKS!! hahahaha!!!!! I cant wait til he lands right on his ass doing that gay backflip...that is if he can even win again!! hahahahaha!!hahahaha!!!!!
Anyone with a brain knows that Carl is an accomplished driver and is good at what he does. Those people with brains also know that he has LITTLE experience with this car and that was wreck was a result of his limited experience.
He's still an amazing driver. He is capable of being competitive in this series if he ran it full time, I'm sure.
First off, what is so funny about someone practically driving a car head first into a wall? I do not know if the driver is ok or not, but I do not think any situation where someone could have sustained major/minor injuries is something to laugh at.
Secondly, clean your screen or your glasses, or see an eye doctor. You say there is "zero" rain on the track or on the fixed lenses. The first shot of the car coming through the corner clearly shows water on the lens.
a) Just who do you think it was that climbed out of the car? Did you think Speed showed a ghost?
b) ONE drop hardly constitutes RAIN. R-A-I-N. It wasn't even sprinkling
c) Note the spectators at the turn. Rain gear? NOPE.
But I guess I will clarify that my laughter was that Speed's build-up to "NASCAR drivers" running in GrandAm. The irony that they couldn't spend (ruin) the broadcast talking about them was golden!
I do not wear undies, so nothing to get bunched. I do agree Speed does love the NASCAR drivers too much. I do not care if they climb out of the car, the possibility still exists for injury. People have died from far less violent vehicle-object impacts. Fans in Canada are probably used to a light rain, does not mean the track was not wet. The amount of cars on that track this weekend, a sprinkle can cause the track to get slick as if it was a full downpour, especially in the turns.
Save preaching to me about what the track would be like - I've been working sports car, IndyCar, and even some NA$CAR safety for 16 years as an SCCA corner worker.
And, AGAIN - the laughter is at Speed losing the opportunity to ramble-on about NA$CAR drivers, as I clarified in my follow-up.....
lol you guys are stupid edwards is a great driver

Carl beat Ambrose the next day at the same track. Talk about an up and down weekend.

Haha, Carl Edwards, pity it wasn't Kyle Busch. Maybe Ambrose should get someone who can actually race on a road course in the car with him!

Nice credentials, and if true, even more reason for concern LOL

Laughed my axx off.....
Interesting how there was zero 'rain' seen on the track or on either fixed camera lens in that part of the track.
Perhaps NASCAR wasn't so stupid in keeping their guys off a wet Watkins Glen a couple of weeks ago......

NASCAR Nationwide Series ran last year at Montreal in fairly heavy rain. Carl Edwards finished 6th.
