Blessings to all. :)

  • Man i wish i could play like that...

  • @xMetallicax07 I can play every note they can... just not in that order.

  • 14 PEOPLE HAVE NO SOUL & ARE TONE-DEAF TO BOOT !

  • ..ahh what a classic clip.. great to see these two play together

    again!

  • I am beating the living sh*t out of the replay button. Such a beautiful and master piece.

  • It's amazing how John Williams can play flamenco and classical very very well.

  • ENCHANTING !

  • Fucking love Hank Marvin

  • faces same Simon & Garfunkell

  • I don't know why people say, "you should just give up, you'll never be this good..." In reality, there is vast repertoire of classical and flamenco pieces, that even the top 2% of guitarist will never get to play in their lifetime. So, just do what you do and be happy!

  • williams fucking sucks, paco is much better

  • @roflswamp6

obviously you are not guitarist .. so please shut up

  • @roflswamp6

Ye one of the best classical guitars player if not the best suck good to know

    please just shut up

  • @roflswamp6

Not only that. He's on his element here and his actual league.

Shit music is what he likes best.

  • Lol. John Williams even abandoned his usual classical position for this one.

  • Genius!!

  • combover

  • flying with fingers

  • really awesome

  • i thought the lead lines where all IM, they seem to use their thumbs a awful lot

  • I like to play with my organ.

  • The guitar is a magnificent instrument and in my opinion, the hardest to master, if possible.

  • magnificent

  • this so cool , props to Williams although his classical sound is very apparent.

  • suomalainen teksititys taas

  • John Williams is da shit.

  • The harmony tremolo part was lovely.

  • A Verdade na sua cara

  • just amazing!

  • 12 people play the triangle

  • anyone know the guitar tabs for this song

  • @aang609 Hahahaha

  • @aang609 I realy hope you are joking about the tabs...

  • @metallicauricio

¿Quiere Metal? Conecte el sonido de la computadora a un pedal de Distorción, otro de Compresíon, subale el volumen, y empieza el video otra vez. :P

  • @metallicauricio no se te entendio nada

    excellent

    greetings from greece !

  • it is such a wonderful piece of art !

  • I had no idea Bill Gates could play guitar!

  • @leonjeremy one doesn't make billions of dollars on programming alone :P

  • Mustafa , this is YOU

  • epic, can't enough of that piece!

  • No words to describe, god best farruca ever.

  • C'est loin de valoir l'original avec SABICAS et MARIO ESCUDERO!( "FANTASTIC GUITARS"/1959). Paco Pena aurait d'ailleurs pu citer les compositeurs....

  • Can anyone please tell me where to find the sheet music or tab for this piece...I have been searching it for over a year now but without any success....does anyone out there know???

  • @gouranga0430 im not an expert or any thing but i think farruca is a song structure in flamenco. so people all play it differently and have some improvisational elements in it. im not sure you will be able to find there version.. some one correct me if im wrong?

  • @bobbyatopk also, from what I know, all the farrucas are in minor mode, rather than phrygian, which is the standard mode for rumbas and other flamenco sub-genres.

  • @Dephyrgia people think that it came from Galicia in northern Spain, which is slightly leaning towards Portugese culture and dialect. Farruca isn't actually the music, it's the dance that accompanies it.

  • These guys are great!

  • bravo and bravo

  • If Chuck Norris played guitar then even he'd give it up after hearing this.

  • @stu2611 Chuck norris obviously isnt ddicated to his instrument

  • @stu2611 this two play fantastic, but i tell you that this is not impossible, is perfect the way they play, perfectly sincronized, but not most virtuoso playing, search for Paco or Vicente....they are from other planet

Chuck Norris will play the Ukelele.

  • @pedrocarro you fools! who do you think taught them how to play? it was chuck! a breath of chuck norris must have been breathed onto their mothers during pregnancy.

  • @ciano15 jajajaja, fantastic! but maybe Bruce Lee thaught them how to play, between Bruce and Chuck y prefere Bruce, the archienemy of Chuck

  • @pedrocarro maybe, but bruce and chuck were best buddies lol they werent enemies. they never even officially fought each other. return of the dragon was just bruce lees movie and he wanted chuck to be in it. chuck norris has the longest undefeated fight record of all time.

  • I´m agree, but I think Killer Condom may win Chuck Norris in this aspect.

  • @stu2611 Lol!

  • @stu2611 every great musician that has ever lived has actually been Chuck Norris is a mask. If you look carefull here, both these guys have tufts of a beard sticking out from underneath the prosthetics.

Chuck can even be two people at once

  • Thanks for posting!

I was also present at one of these concerts of the 2 masters in the 70s. It was a good mix.

    CU Andi

  • there was a tablature of that piece for 2 guitars but I can't find it now =| so annoying

  • fantastic.ole.............

  • not oft you get this "third ear" engaged in a few passages here.. remember this 2going out " but not this detail,

    mmmmmmmmm

  • GODS

  • I like how threatened Paco looks

  • superb

  • search for "los pescadores - niño miguel" probably the world's best played farruca.

  • катюша

  • THE GEEK AND THE SPANIARD. What win

  • Weird Al lookin motherfucker hahaha

  • Straight to my favourites. Very rare.

  • john williams look is so ultra.

  • Paco does actually have a pretty good english!

  • I interviewed him yesterday, and his English these days is excellent! He lives in London a lot of the time.

  • This is a wonderful performance by both guitairsts... I can't help but think that Paco looks a bit like Paulie Shore...

  • This is a wonderful performance by both guitairsts... I can't help but think that Paco looks a bit like Paulie Shore...

  • diamondrain vinereign

  • Who is the composer of this piece?

  • The PERFECTION ! ! !

  • if you want sheets of this... you can search for the piece: EN LAS CUEVAS composed by paco pena ....

  • where can i get the sheet music for this

  • beautifully played by both Musicians...Ole

  • excellent..!!!:)

    and good comp.

  • este no es el mismo jhon W que compone no?

  • No!!!

  • perdón, perdón!!. jajaja, soy nuevo en esto del flamenco, mas alla del Don paco no reconozco a ninguno.

  • Este video es extraordinario, que maravilla, es un placer inmenso escucharlos.

    Alberto Abella

  • Beautiful, I listen to this daily now.

  • @NIGELANGST

Same here. Absolutely something i never can catch on the radio.

  • I met with Paco Pena in 1995 ..he is wonder person and down to earth, while John is not.. (regretfully)..and paco's guitar tone is unique and very beautiful spanish caracteristic..

  • que chingona farruca te abentaste paco peña ole paco peña i jhon wiliams los mejores

  • paco pena sounds like an orchestra of guitars.

  • Paco Pena was my guitar teacher's teacher :D

  • do you play flamengo?

  • should that be do you play Flamingo ?

  • I do play flamingo rather well...not as good as Alice though...id probably end up getting my head chopped of by the Red queen...have a nice day

  • Nope, neither of you have got it right(hence the thumbs down), the style is called "Flamenco", and even today is still being debated over as whether to be considered a full genre or not.

  • Of course i know the word is Flamenco...i have been a performing player for a good few years...i was having a little joke..i though that was obvious...what is also obvious is that Abby 161919 takes offence very easily at such a quite playfull comment i made not meaning to offend,...simply a play on words !!...and you alfoncio should be able to see that too

As Monty Python famously said..."nobody expects the Spanish inquisition" it is esy to forget that this is a world site so diffrent ideas

  • I think they were on troll patrol so I wouldn't pass any remarks. I got that you were making a joke if that's any consolation.

  • I wonder what it would have been like to place my head directly between those two guitars as they played.

    This is amazing.

Just noticed something separate: the set's background is orange/pinkish.. I've seen that in lots of other flamenco videos. Maybe it's a guitar performance thing.

    I am listening again!

  • Your head will feel it's in heaven, really.

  • you would destroy this lovely musik.

  • Destroy? this is great!

  • Just awesome. What a great flamenco duet.

  • Wonderful!!!

  • Acojonante.

  • what type of wood is there guitars made out of

  • Proper flamenco blanca guitars, like these spruce tops and spanish cypress necks, backs and sides, lightly braced for more attack and less sustain (face it flamenco guitarists don't waste time letting the notes drag out) . Flamenco guitars tend to have wider fretboards (ebony) as well. There are also some makers who build "negra" guitars with rosewood or cocobolo backs and sides and mahogany neck. They all feel alive when you play them

  • @pushyflatlander they are alive

  • thank you for putting this up :)

  • esta si es una cancion flamenca jonh wlliams es un gran guitarrista

  • en 1975 emitieron esta joya en la television... en 2009 solamente emiten basura corrupta de gente sin principios

    ¡¡¡ que pena!!!!

  • Epic GH Classical mode FTW!

  • ole la farruca bien toca¡¡¡

  • Wow, this is beautiful. It has inspired me and I want to learn t.

  • this is fantastic music.. so much energy and its great to hear the two friends play so well together...

  • dead right two friends two great guitarist brilliant

  • Great!!

  • From Malaysia=>John Williams and Paco Pena are the best classical guitar=:-)

  • This is absolutely sensational. They play so smoothly and beautifully together.

  • The ending of this song is exactly the same as Sabicas' Taconeo Gitano, has anyone noticed?

  • no ... just you

  • Wonderful .... Thanks for posting.

  • Stunning.

  • John looked so geek!

  • @mistyfields

    Nothing new there!

  • Amazingly beautiful how this flows. Bravo

  • I really admire these musicians.

i'd do whatever in order to get the music sheet of this awesome performance. i've heard that it can be found in some of the JW's book but i need the opinion of someone who can really tell me tah plz( or just give it to me)

  • what... so paco pena and paco de lucia are 2 different people? Whos better? I know they are both awesome but who is like the most traditional original one out of the 2?

  • Well, Paco Pena is called the ambassador of flamenco, and has done a lot to structurize it etc, and is more of the traditional type. It is a great way to learn to understand the different forms etc, because he stays really close to it.

Paco de Lucia on the other hand has his own style, somewhat more free.

Both are great guitarists, it is a matter of taste. I prefer Paco de Lucia, but I am gratefull to Paco Pena for the work he has done, and have his lesson book.

  • Paco De Lucia is the man!

However, this duo is amazing. They studio recorded several tunes together and can be found on cd. Its highly recommended as are the couple of cd's that Williams recorded with the Peruvian legends of Andean music, "Inti Illimani". His guitar & their Andean flutes make for some great music.

  • they are a little different in taste, but i would say de lucia is more well known than paco pena. Just as a note the second person in this video is actually John Williams.

  • DC180 of course Paco de Lucia y Paco Peña are differente persons lol. Paco Peña is a master indeed but Paco de Lucia... hes just an alien he is not human, the best guitarrist ever on earth on history, is not a personal point of view trust me!

  • ive been mucking around with guitars ( steel) for over 10 years... yea now I am into nylons.. Heheh excuse me for my ignorance. bUT YEAH... I also agree... Paco De Lucia is from another solar system, I think he was secretly brought here to planet earth with freak DNA and could be reptilian! Yeah when I closely listen to his music, I'm literally speechless....

  • it is a personnal point of view, as much as i like paco de lucia too, i prefer paco peña's playing by a lot.

  • woooooooooooow

  • omg!

  • i love this performance. i also find it funny that paco's guitar drowns out john's.

  • sin duda grandes maestros la version de estos dos colosos con inti illimani en el disco leyenda grabado en alemania en sencillamente notable

  • It is like a vacation in the south when it rains and rains for a week. Beautiful playing nevertheless.

  • Genuine musical cameraderie on 12 strings - relaxed & virtuosic at the same time.

  • Interesting that he says the accompaniment is in 'another position.' I see he is using a cejillia. Daddy, I think I've heard you play the part Mr Williams is playing. Yes?

  • lol im so jealous that they are playing this impossible song and are just staring at each other

  • damm iam glad ! ilearned to finger pick so fun hard work too takes dedication

    great work !

  • I looooooove how it's so easy for them to roll a melody with their fingers and at the same time strum a bass-line with their thumb! Practically orgasmic....practically. :)

  • Briiliantly played!! Thanks for posting!

  • Great synergy. I have seen a video of williams playing with Bream, and they didnt have this sort of synergy. These guys compliment each others playing very delicately. Top watch. Top tune.

  • wait? Julian bream and williams DIDNT have synergy? When I watch their vids, my head explodes!

  • The whole universe exploded when John Williams and Paco Pena played this piece together.

  • Two people playing tremolo at the same time makes my head explode. Amazing stuff though.

Absolutely beautiful music, thanks for sharing 8)
