@utuberock9999 I know...me too..tears streaming down my cheeks throughout the series...this so resonates within me...all that I feel...and I feel my world around me...used to drive myself nuts with the leftside of my brain..until life's experiences have and continue to give me new perspectives on this ride we call life.
1:36 "what would happen if you surgically removed it" How many times I wished I could stop my brain from thinking! "you wouldn't have any language, that would be an issue, you have to have the language, it's the price we pay, the ego is one of the prices we pay". A MA ZING!
Re-focus means find another thing to focus on, another object or subject. The subject or object should be beautiful and captivating. It should naturally capture your mind. The subject/object should be glorious, expansive, and interesting emotionally and intellectually. Some know this as the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
I have read the trilogy Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch and this video serie with Jill Bolte Taylor being interviewed by Oprah really adds to Mr Walsch's books. Thanks Dr Bolte Taylor for sharing your wonderful experience, it had opened my eyes even wider now after having read Conversations with God. Thanks a lot. I love you! xo
"...and I realized our true nature as spirit, not body, that we are eternal beings and that God's love is unconditional and that there is nothing we can ever do to change that. It is only our illusion that we are separate from God and that we are alone. In fact, the reality is we are One with God and He loves us." - this is exactly why they don't want us using mind-altering 'drugs' that 'open your eyes up to realize you are being 'f*cked' every day of your life'. It's wonderful that Jill had the experience she had after the stroke eliminated her ego. I wonder how she would feel if she had to do the "work" or "effort" that is required to reach nirvana without the help of a stroke. Does she really appreciate the formidable barrier that stands between people and the experience of nirvana?
thanks Chris for posting

And all YOU have to do is drop acid or drink mushroom tea !!!
Timothy Leary said it in the Sixties and everybody thought he wasa crackpot - he should maybe have left the '..drop out' bit out though ....
But definitely Turn on and Tune in ...

Oh my, I have tears in my eyes,
Oprah is a spiritual woman,
Dr. Taylor tells us in a scientific way the importance of reaching your peace of mind.
Instead of seeking the paradise, live out the paradise right at this moment, by being kind and forgiving to yourself, and others.
Wonder what Dr. Taylor regards believing in yourself?

@Shelyn4ever Again, for conversations with God ... 200 micrograms of LSD will do the trick.
