  • @mariamty Thank you! Juan

  • Believe it or not, my British friend uses sweet potatoes in her Pot Roast, so was

very interested in this version of your shephard's pie. Thanks again.

  • @9aspengold5 hope you like it.

  • Not exactly what I remember from living in England, but a great rendition. Just

love using the turkey. Tastes great. Thank you for giving me an option.

  • @9aspengold5 thanks for taking a chance and trying out something a little different.

  • Slightly curious about the amount of olive oil used, wouldn't it take the fat content sky high!?

  • The fat content might be a little high, but Olive oil is a good source of fat, and our bodies need fat.

We can not avoid fat completely, just need to use the good fat. I used about 1/4 cup.

  • Personally, I love olive oil, and have always used it in cooking, makes everything taste so much nicer! And like you said, it's a good fat. I just thought it was more than 1/4 cup you used, sorry! But i've never been good at estimating! :P

  • you sir...are awesome.

  • Look gooood!

If you want to keep the calories down and still use beef, I totally recommend browning your mince then pouring boiling water over over it in a colender, it removes so much grease!

  • Hey Mike,

     thanks for the advise.

    Juan
