At least they were smart enough to realize that letting her down at this point was kinder than getting her hopes up for nothing. Because she's really not all that exceptional.

She may be talented, but in contests like these where you present the Philippines to the outside world, a person's talents must always be viewed against a much wider backdrop. Her talents have to hold up against all the other international violinists out there.And in that context, her playing leaves much to be desired.

To the uninitiated, her piece is flashy and impressive, but to those in the know, it's an uber-easy piece to play. There are lots of 10-year old kids who can play this better than her. Why don't you test her with other MUCH more difficult pieces to see if the talent is really there?

Sorry to say this but this girl will be in for a big shock when ABS-CBN decides to launch her internationally. Look beyond the pretty face and sad story: her playing just doesn't come up to international standards.

I feel like the producers of the show make it a standard that you have to have a sob story to be in the show. She was good dont get me wrong, but I feel like everyone that gets on the show always has something to cry about. The judge was even trying to get it out of her right in the beginning even when she didnt mention it.
