Man, I wish Bionicles had tie downs. That'd make my life a heck of a lot easier. I have to freakin stickytack the feet down, and even that doesn't always work...
Just looked at "The Animator's Survival Kit" which I found from your recommendation. Great book! And I keep re-watching this test. I love how he moves! Thanks for all your helpful videos!!
Under the set is a screw that holds his feet down called a tie down. You can use a screw from above or use a tie down from below. Tie downs are basically long thin bolts with a wing nut, and the feet have a tapped hole with the same threads as the bolt.
Guess, this would be one of the zombie-pirates - the skull but especially the walk; like dragging something. A little bit stiff in his joints, but NOT in cause of bad animation, rather in cause of good animation, like, ahm yes, a zombie pirate, maybe walking over slowly shaking ground...
Holes drilled in set floors are the best way to tie your puppet down. You just need to cover the holes with pieces of tape painted to match the floor.
I would start out with a simple film - most people think of making features and give up when they see how involved it is. My second piece of advice is dont give up and always try to make it fun.
Hi, i'm fairly new to this medium, planning to start getting to work on a movie of my own, can you tell me what the armature for this model is made up from, cheers.

hey, what tie downs did you use for this, because if i use the nut and bolt type ones then i have to make holes in the floor of my set.
