I'm tired of hearing 'it's worship, focus less on the singing and worship God.' Let me put things in proper context. It's NOT about whether we are worshiping or whether God can accept the singing.. It is about getting distracted.. Let me give you a simple analogy, if someone farts in front of you while worshiping God, will you get distracted? While the person's worship is totally acceptable, it distracts me because of the smell.. same goes with bad singing.. pains my ears

I would agree with you.. but what I'm saying is when you lead people into worship, especially non believers, you can't say things like 'it's ok to sing badly' because you're serving people and you want them to get into an attitude of worship.. how are you gonna do that when the singing is distracting people?

I'm sure Israel's concerts are good.. maybe he had to make do with certain not so professional musicians / singers due to some circumstances.. or had to work with certain local church's team so he had no choice. I certainly respect and look up to his musicianship and skill. Actually for this video, the singing ain't that bad if you bring in the whole band to be the same volume as the singers. I'm just tired of the attitude of some 'holy christians' if you get me.

Some people don't understand because they are either not a worship leader/musicians or they just can't grasp what it means to a worship leader/musician. Leading Worship (like any other job within the church... I say job because it is a job) is ALL about that perfect balance between Heavenly or spiritual and the non-spiritual. The reason why I say it is because a worship leader wants to worship but his job is to lead others into worship or a state/environment of worship.

yea guys when it said accapella lol ... it meant its only the voices. (un edited by the way and un mixed) obviously some of the vocal parts are way too loud. But there is a another stage of editing before it goes to dvd. In this case its raw material. Also the sounds of instruments and congregation is heard also through the vocal mics.

yeah, i hear exactly what ya'll are saying, but understand that the mix on stage is totally different from the video mix (which is what you guys are hearing) sometimes audio teams don't put people on the video board to mix things unless the video is going out professionally (not youtube)..so what we see hear is raw footage..un-cut, un-mixed..sometimes it turns out good..sometimes..as seen here..not so much..haha..be blessed!
