Only band I've seen twice in concert...they were great then and now. Some of those albums are just brilliant, and the ones that aren't have some brilliant songs on them.
I've heard this song a bunch, and loved it, but I never knew what it was called! Love these guys! Justin Hayward is one of the greatest singers of all time
Saw them in South Shields back in '66 down Ocean Road when I was a young BP cadet at the Marine & tech College. Now 61 and still love the Moody Blues.
So many years, so many friends, long gone now. Oh how i wish we could meet in the pub for one last drink together, go for one last ride on our motorbikes.
Many seem to think that prog rock began with King Crimson. it really had its roots withe the Moody Blues and Procol Harum. Mike Pinder of the Moodys helped with the design of the first Mellotron which was to become a staple instrument for most of the genre.
Back around 1970, one of our local TV stations put together a filler piece -- stations then often had to fill a minute or two when the network wasn't ready for them or when there were technical issues -- and they took this song and used it over video of current news events. It was really quite striking and I always looked forward to them using it. It was the first time I ever heard this song.
FANTASTIC MUSIC my Big Brother Johnnie played this when I was a kid beautiful memories and music R.I.P John Anthony Johnson you will never be forgotton xxxx
One of the 'greatiest' Moody Blues songs and may be their best album. Thanks for this good Video with albums jackets...
Une super chanson extraite de ce qui fut sans doute le meilleur album des Moody Blues (6 de leurs albums étaient fantastiques, c'est donc difficile de faire un choix)
I know the only things I heard in the mainland were Tuesday Afternoon and Knights in White Satin. and I thought that was all they were famous for. Then one day here in honolulu I hear this song, and I'm like is that Jethro Tull? Early Pink Floyd? I typed the lyrics into google and thankfully I found it.
Lovely to hear this again, my friend! :-)
