In a way it's kind of nice to see someone play how you play since it'll give me an idea of how I might play when I first start out. We all don't start off as experts so it's refreshing to see something closer to a real world experience for a video, IMHO. Kudos to you and your crazy collection heh.
@cobaltplasma That's exactly what I aim for in these videos... a real world experience. Most of us aren't gaming heroes... we just want a bit of fun :)
@TheToeFungus99 This is what I do, and enough people like it that I don't worry about those who don't. I'm not gonna let down my 4000 subs by doing something like practice.
@LosAngeles234 I dunno why this seems to be playing so slow - Pure is way fast! I thought he might be taking it slow due to playing via the camera, but the only thing that seems to be running at normal speed here is the clock. Maybe he's got a slo-mo cheat running or something.
@SteveBenway Hmm, puzzling - I'm playing it at the moment (well, not RIGHT at the moment...) and my copy runs quite a bit faster. Maybe the imps in your PSP are working to rule - have you been feeding them enough?
@SteveBenway Surely the early classes aren't this slow?! Your speedo says 300mph+ at times but your video says 3mph. Maybe it's something to do with it being an import? I dunno, just seems odd.
I've only made it as far as Flash class so far and that's fast enough!
I agree with the analog nub being garbage, I never use it either. My personal favorite PSP game is "Prinny Can I Really Be The Hero?".... I really wish they would make more 2-D PSP games.
Nice capture of the PSP screen - it's a hard system to grab footage from!
It sure does look the part. If you're a fan of the series and you have a PSP it may be a 'must buy'. I actually have this game in my PSP pile of shame :P
It boast more playability than the N64 and the PSX versions! It turns I have quite a few copies of this game on various platforms as well.
Your reaction to your victory at the end: "not something you see very often". We're gradually seeing it more and more, you'll be turning pro at this rate! :P
Steve? Steve! STEVE!!! XD
Anyway, that version looked pretty good, I must say, though it looks much easier than older versions.
Nice Steve, you did really well with keeping the balance of the PSP in front of the camera while playing, that was really impressive. And no glare off the camera, almost looked like video capture. You're just that good
I turnd the lights in the room off before recording. It helps cut down glare, but does cause me to trip over and land on a pile of game filled boxes. This room's kinda cluttered... lol.
i thought this was nothing short of mind-blowing to see wipeout done so well on a handheld, but yea, once youve clapped eyes on wipeout hd, id does take the shine off this one a bit.
sitck some headphones on and this is a very immersive gaming experience you can have just about anywhere.
When I had a PS2 I had a demo version of WipeOut, I think the particular game I had was WipeOut fusion Clallenge, but the demo DVD was damaged, so the demo would most of the time not load and play, it would just lock up whilst loading.
yeah it's hard to play while your are keeping the camere too...sorry 4 my english

Worst player ever. Don't test a game which you obviously can't handle!

Why would you play the games badly so people can see what it's like? How about PLAYING THE GAME THE RIGHT WAY!

@theestever I have no cheat running. This is the speed it plays at on my PSP.

@theestever I think it's just that this video features a very early level. They get faster as the game progresses.

@premiumheart64 I'm playing this on an Asian import PSP, so the controls are often different.

I wouldn't say it's easier than earlier versions... it's just not handicapped by demented controls.
HD will be uploaded in an hour or two.

They're made by Team Liverpool, who i think used to be called Psygnosis. They also did the official F1 racing games for PS1 and PS3.

OMG. You won 8-o
of course you were playing on easy and it's so slow but still, you won. Doesn't happen everyday.
Btw. you can consume the weapons to refill you energy/health instead of firing them.
pstudioDOTtk 2 years ago
It's a very little known fact that when I'm not narrating videos, I'm actually quite good.... but don't tell anyone, coz it's a secret ;)
I had no idea you could consume the power-ups. Just shows how often I read instructions.

Im still waiting to verify this claim myself with some online PS3 play. Just need to get a title first. Likely GT5 I assume.

.... and they've delayed the release of GT5, yet again.
