A small one: the Doc Robot stages have a reason to them: Wily is trying to slow Megaman down by throwing Doc at him.
And a major one: WHERE WAS THE MENTION OF RUSH? He's the other major addition in this game, and he has appeared in every Megaman game since. Don't know why you didn't even bring him up.
Still, though, good review. I do want to see a MM5 review from you (which, to me, is one of the more underrated ones).
@darkpowrjd Yeah, I forgot about Rush, didn't I. Shame on me.
The Doc Robot stages may have had a purpose for the storyline, but in that case there needed to be more attention paid to the set-up there. Where did these MM2 retreads come from? And in any event, having these long-winded stages with no reward still strung the game out longer than it needed.
Best Megaman in my opinion. All HAIL SNAKEMAN! That boss master alone and his stage presentation completely outdoes megaman 2. I still hum his theme in the shower.
@jorgovan21 Incorrect. If you activate the Top Spin while already in contact with an enemy, your weapon energy takes a nosedive and the enemy is unharmed. I've experienced this enough times to know.
I really enjoy watching those reviews. Just got recently interested to the franchise and discovering those games is great.
Having close to no knowledge to it, one of the things I always wondered was how certain MegaMan games got a lot more popularity compared to the later installements (MegaMan 4-7). I'm definitly looking forward to the reviews of these.
It was probably two things: first, by the time MM4 came out, the Genesis was beginning to split the market; and second, the novelty of the series was starting to fade.
It didn't help that 5 was a substandard entry into the series, and the robot masters (and their powers) got really, really lame after 3 (heck, 3's bosses aren't too great either.)
3 was better!

2:30-2:45 Re: top spin. You don't lose any top spin energy unless you hurt the enemy. But it does do damage to you unless properly timed.

An excellent, thorough review for an excellent game.
And to anyone who would one-star a video that clearly took some effort and not leave a comment. You're a jerk!

Yeah, that looks better as far as quality goes.
And yeah, I have absolutely nothing to disagree with there.

Megaman 6 is surprisingly good, though.
