5:04 That hilogico that the Nazis (Polish) down in the open have a better vicibilidad of the hill, which is quite stupid. Not the worst strategist make that mistake.
This film or serie (don't know what it is) looks good but the only thing that gets me is that you see 100 Germans dying as if they were that weak come on, and only 1 or 5 Americans die (hardly 5 because that's too much --'). If it really was like this why did it take 5 years to beat them?
@kaneslives Those soldiers were following orders from their fanatical leaders. Do you think every single german soldier (In your words, 'Nazi') knew about the sick practices that their superior officers were performing? I watched a documentary somewhere, that stated that it was something like 5% (or some VERY small number) of the soldiers in the Nazi regime that knew what they were doing. You are a disrespectful fuck, as the other 95% of those soldiers died believing they were protecting
@kaneslives their country. They died, fighting, like any other soldier in WWII, so they deserve the same respect that we give to our dead. So please, before you go about making yourself look like a fucking retard, get you facts straight and get some common sense. Honestly, you should be ashamed of yourself. How would you feel if you were the one in the unmarked grave, and some fucking know-it-all says that they deserve to rot in hell, and that they will be forgotten. Buddy, go fuck yourself
volksdeutsch00 are you a ball job or did you not watch the series. These men weren't all "conscripts." Many of them felt the calling and enlisted on their own initially. In addition, even the ones that were drafted volunteered for airborne training. The advanced training they received therefore makes them more then mere conscripts.
volksdeutsch00 they were not conscripts they were volunteers who were highly trained and some of the top American troops of the war, that is why they were dropped behind enemy lines and isolated. Not trying to glorify them just making a point and also this movie is based on actual events. and also the Germans serving on the Western Front were mostly soldiers from defeated nations serving under German officers
The one man I look up to is and always will be since I was about 12 or 13 is Lt. Spiers, all wars need men.... there was once a time when the world asked ordinary men to do extraordinary things......to the men who have fought and died for their country and who are serving today, GOD BLESS
Since I haven't watched this movie yet, what's the significance on 4:15, when the american shot the enemy, or was he american also??? Can't tell. THANKS!
because they had no idea what was going on. and by the time they got their act together and all the men roused..his company was behind him. youd have to watch the movie to understand
think about it most of those soldiers were late teens thinking about glory and medals but when the time arose that they were to be soldiers they froze because they weren't old enoughor ready for a fight
Also, i believe these german soldiers were untrained polish people, so that is why they ran away they were scared and were surprised that an american soldier would stand in front of so many of them and fire
yes, so was saving private ryan the only part of that movie that was real was the fact that it took place during world war 2 and a lot of the historic battles took place. Tom hanks and matt dameon's chracter never existed during those battles though. So yeah Band of brothers is based on a true story but only cuz it was about world war 2
The Airborne's entirety includes soldiers from all over the country that were highly trained soldiers meant to take on forces much larger than themselves. In fact the 101st Airborne Defeated the ENTIRE German army at bastogne with only 10,000 soldiers the Screaming Eagles Destroyed a German army 17 times that size which had tanks and artillery support, but the Airborne Clung on.
Nice video, by the way! Well cut, and I like the score. World War II was a sad, world-changing event, and we should never forget it or the people who fought for their countries, whichever side they were on. Hopefully nothing like it will ever happen again.
I hate to be argumentative, but in fact the 101st Airborne Division was composed of highly trained volunteer soldiers, not conscripts. Additionally, they were trained specifically to engage much larger forces (in this case a company of SS with Polish support)
@volksdeutsch00 Have you seen pictures of, or where you ever at an WWII graveyard where they buried the american soldiers? Guess who did all the killing.
