  • i like how tony play. keep pool vid interesting =P

  • @nvle5 If you really like pool, every pool videos are interesting.... -_-

  • tnoy drago used a snooker cue?

  • @ValerioPlayLife Yes Tony used to be a snooker player and cleared up the same way.

  • @giggyism Brilliant Tony Drago =)

  • 38:10 how come the other commentating guy doesnt even know what century is...what a idiot

  • wych is so fcking corny.

  • is thomas gay?

  • @adianohto No idea. Does it matter?

  • any1 know what that trance tune is in the background when the show is being introduced?

  • i dont know anything about famous pool players, but man, that guy tony is a BEAST

  • I really dislike Jim wytch commentating, he makes it sound like football :( ! bring back Grady & incardonna pleaaaaaaase!

  • 48 mins video? is that possible? how?

  • mouth watering prospects.... WOW you sound very enthusiastic about this "Mouth Water Prospects" lol

  • i like drago, i want play so fast as him ^^

  • @levith1992 practice, practice man! I like Tony too, I have a pool table at home since an year, I watch Tony and other great playesr a lot!(BClub-THE BEST!) and I am getting closer and closer!.... ...to brake my cue on my head! if it will happen to you too, think like me: cues are expensiv! you play fast ,you going to brake more cues! -----------wish you less and less missed shots! \sorry,my english still developing\
  • i love the fast players like drago, strickland and others

  • Ronnie was there he's out of this world at snooker I don't know about pool

  • Piss on all these players if I had the Money I could give them a game..

  • i've you've got a good enough game to ... "give them a game" ... finding the money isn't hard... walk into any pool hall and start playing... lay a 50 on the table... you DON'T have the game

  • well played drago!

  • John Parris cues are some of the best

  • Yeah they good...but when it comes to 9 ball and pool....nothing beats a Predator cue!

  • @silenttrigger86 Predator is o.k, but have you tried Southwest?

  • @silenttrigger86 so many things stomp all over a predator cue... they have a good shaft thats about it lol.

  • wow tony is awsome...

  • why so many top players use parris? o'sullivan, davis, etc etc

i got a parris cue, amazing quality, only made to order

  • yes he does......3 minutes and 33 seconds.....

  • Oh I love Tony Drago he was a great snooker player.

Correct me if I am wrong but hasnt he got the world redcord for the fastest century in a proffessional match.

  • yup 3 mins or so

  • It is a John Parris cue...best cuemaker in the world (It is written in his profile).

  • John Parris is not the best cue maker in the world, he does produce top quality work, but there are alot of other cue makers who would produce cues as good as you will see

John Parris is the most popular cue maker because he gets alot of publicity with ronnie o'sullivan using his cues

  • I used to go out with his daughter

  • haha... you little fuck...

  • Not just Ronnie mate, over half the pro snooker payers use Parris, John Parrot Steve Davis Jimmy White etc etc etc a lot of the guys at my club use his cues too, he is a Forest Hill legend. I do agree though that he might not make the BEST cues, only consistant cues that are made to your specs.

    They feel stunning though

  • Wolfie Ted, Steve Davis' cue is not a parris cue, it is in fact a Ye olde ash cue that Parris had done some work on.

  • Good call. I was just saying that in his shop he has got pictures of all the pros he has worked with, and I could name most of them. Almost every face from the Pro Snooker circuit was up there, including Hendry after his cue was broken...He tried out Parris' cues for a while, not sure if he is still using his cues. All I was trying to say was that he is well known and respected in the UK for his cues, not just by nobodys like me, but by the top pro's as well.

  • I was not saying that you were wrong by the way wolfie ted, Many pro players have used a parris cue at some point in their career. The reason that so many used his cues is because he would offer to make them dozens of cues for free, he did this because with more players using his cues, his popularity as a cue maker will increase.

Stephen Hendry is using an Acuerate cue, I think John Parris offered to make hime several new cues to replace his powerglide connoisseur after it was broken in 2003.

  • Sure snookerloopy08. I didn't mean to sound defensive. The truth is you seem to know a lot more about it then me, and I may have "assumed" a few things, and we all know the cliches surrounding assumption. just having a nice chat. Unlike some of the comments you find on youtube. People just love to get a rise out of each other!

Back to Hendry, I couldn't believe his cue was worth £30 or something. It won him so much, I guess that is the true testament to the skill of a player over the cue

  • how much does parris usually charge? does he make pool cues too?

  • Danny B, Nellio, Rod all these guys in my local area (who play pretty damn good english pool) all play with Parris cues made for them. You would look at about £350 upwards for a custom cue, built just for you. He does have stock cues (there is nothing stock about them mind you, still great cues) and these start a little lower. he will also take a cue down to a lower tip size on any cue, maintain any cue and try to fix any problems you have. I have been told he will make an american pool cue...

  • You have to distinguish between pool and snooker. Tony said in an interview that he likes his Parris poolcue, but it's not as good as the normal pool cues. Parris is a top snooker cue maker, but in pool there are others like Scruggs or Szamboti. AND there are 3 world top cuemakers in Germany. Eurowest (learned from JossWest Bill Stroud), Arthur and Vollmer (learned at BlackBoar and Hohmann became WC with a Vollmer)

  • Reading these comments I would completely disagree.

Parris is famous for cues but deals with CUE TIPS more.

The best Cues are Rileys cues or BCE.

I myself use Riley as they coem from the best wood and are the best price I use to own a Peradon snooker the first cue I bought.

When I changed to Riley I got a 144 on a full size table.

The cue is very importnat but for me any cue that is good regardless of make is a good cue.

Parris is just reinventing the riley.

  • Just wanted to point out that there are huge differences in cues with Parris, Riley or BCE and pool cue makers like Szamboti, Scruggs, Nitti, Southwest or my fellow german cuemakers like Eurowest, Arthur or Vollmer

Many top players use sponsorship cues available for little money like Lucasi (Hohmann) or Longoni (Feijen), Pagulayan (Schon R12 until it warped) or John Schmidt playing experimental OB Cues

  • Parris is more of a man who fixes cue tips and straitens cues.

Yes I know he makes cues but Riley are much more Famous and i use one.

As for cues being different I dont know POOL cues like you you seem to be an expert and I dont own a POOL CUE.

If you are just starting snooker I would not reccomend a Parris cue a Rily or Peradon most stores stock Riley.

The very first cue I bought was an £7 cue which withinn 2 yrs I got a 87 break with on a full size table.

  • My first cue bought with some knowledge of snooker was a Peradon which was amazing especially for screw shots and shots with the rest.

Parris cues I would not recomend as Parris is known for repairing Cues.

The Huge differences in Pool cues is RIGHT as the SIZE and tip are bigger also the GRIP is different to a snooker cue.

    and height of cue.

You know POOL cues very well.

I dont I dont even own a pool cue and am just more interested in playing.

But some people might be advised to get a new cue

  • as thier game is good but thier cue is letting them Down.

Sometimes the Cue change can make a world of difference.

Although I play with my Riley now for 6 yrs and still use my Peradon on times and occassionally will play with a CUE from asnooker CLUB.

  • I think you should take a CUE REST mate.

  • Is Drago using a bar cue?

  • BCN....thank u for all the great posts....may i comment though, Makes for uneasy viewing when cameras switch to different angle right as the shot is made. Just a note but thank you.

  • At 15:30, Wych doesn't notice that Engert plays position for the 4 in the side because the shot to the corner doesn't offer an angle to the 6.

  • drago is a good player but mika is a natural pool player

  • Excellent match. Watch at work today. Drago was zooming through racks to the point I turned away for just a few seconds to type something and he was sinking the 9 when I looked back.

  • Drago finish the rack so fast

  • Mika would kill Drago 7 outa 10 hes better. end of it.

  • please post the ronnie and wu match!!! that would be great

  • That match is the next in the WPM series. Stay tuned.

  • great ! thank you very much

  • somebody has the game with ronnie and wu??

  • 16:12

    woooow!!!

  • WTF is up with the close-ups? Billiard porn? :D

  • Put up the game with Ronie and Wu PLEASE

  • any chance of uploading the o'sullivan match they were talking about? thanks in advance!

  • i would have thought peach was a better pool convert than drago. what do people think?

  • I still think Mika, Alison and Karen, are the best billiard players that came from snooker mainly because of there past championchips, but very good call on Daryl Peach, hes better than Drago for sure.

  • A tornado passing by holland devastated a lean machine....It's the first time i feel like i'm watching a blockbuster.Keep posting matches like this BClub :) With fast players i mean :) :) :)

  • Drago is an excellent player, but the only thing I dislike of him is his break(and his break cue :D) I want too see if he`d change his break cue, that if there would happen any difference on the break.

  • Drago is an excellent player, a great combo of play and speed. Grettings!

  • lol the speed drago plays is just amazing.

  • Starting to Tony's pool game better (always liked his rhythm, although that's ultimately just a individual characteristic of each player, the pace of one's internal clock, so to speak), he isn't just knocking in balls from anywhere anymore, he's really starting to get the drift of this game. He really appears as quick-minded a learner or student of the game as he is a player.

Apart from that, not one of Thomas's best days, it looks like, taking too much time to adjust to the speed of the table.

  • thanks for posting! hope you guys put up the rest of the tournament because you fot me really interested in the rest of it.

    thanks in advance

  • i can't beilve how good he is, i wish i was that good and able to play that well too

  • Thanks for uploading, bclub! Thats great!

  • thanks :) enjoyed this match

  • jim wych said drago is #1 pool player that came from snooker! I gues he forgets about Mika Immonen, Alison Fisher, Karen Corr...Just to name 3 better choices!

  • Well Tony is the best snooker player among the 4 players you mentioned. I've hardly seen Mika Immonen play snooker. Tony was ranked no. ten in Snooker at one time and reached the World quarter-finals. I think Jim was talking about male players, so you can't really include Alison and Karen.

  • Mika played alot of snooker before he started pool.. He also played kaisa in wich he was one of the best in Finland..

  • I don't think Mika played much snooker in the UK where the top tounaments are played. Did he have a world ranking ? Drago was ranked No. 10 in the world at one stage. I saw Tony drag play a lot on tv , but never seen Mika on TV in the UK.

  • Mika started out with snooker and kaisa. No, Mika never were the best in the world in it but he is a decent snooker player...

  • I didnt say he wasnt the best snooker playerof the four, I said hes not the best billiards player that CAME FROM SNOOKER!..The word player is male or female by the way, and also Alison F. won mor snooker titles than Drago.

  • Yo can't compare the men's and women''s games like that. They are separate for obvious reasons. When someone is commentating on a men's pool, snooker , soccer, golf match, they are obviously referring to the male players. Women's games are at a lower level than men's, so obviously Alison Fisher would have more snooker titles. If Tony Drago played Alison in those same (wome's) tournaments, he would have beat her in 9 out of ten tournaments, if not in all.

  • bull shit id bet so much against that

  • jeanette lee one time challenged efren reyes to a race to 15 racks of 9 ball. final score: lee-3 efren-15

  • 100% true.

  • well really nobody can critize them because none of us here are better than them. and if anybody says they are. they are full of it

  • thats what the commentators do, and while they have an appreciation and their own skill level, they constructively criticize the players from time to time.

  • i meant the people who are commenting on youtube

  • never mind i just got what you meant

  • people who disagree dont know shit about pool or players, Drago plays too fast and over runs his position alot

  • On the small ferrule comment by Wych, I believe that's an I shaft. McDermott's low deflection shaft. Due to his level of play and the cloth he typically would find himself on in major tournaments, I believe that Engert probably possesses an I-3 shaft. Out of the 3 of the I shafts the I-3 is the shaft more for "feel" players and faster cloth.

  • the best match ive seen so far in wpm :D

  • lol drago cleared one rack in like 30 seconds :p

    thx bclub

  • and i just went for a cup of tea damnit

  • oh jeez he does play fast i thought they were exaggerating for a bit

  • If you think he plays fast, you should look up Luc Salvas. It's like watching pool in fast forward.

  • Look up Jean bo fu (spelling). 2007 tournament of champions winner. He doesn't even chaulk his cue during a rack. He doesn't move fast, but he's a one stroker.

  • first view:D thanks Bclub! keep posting!
