I liked the anime. :( Sure, it was pretty much a slide show...but it was still pretty awesome! I liked the manga too, but I saw the anime first and it will always have a place in my heart. :P
It's sad that the animation quality sucked so hard; the story, concept and characters were great and the OST is probably among the bests ever made for a TV series. It's like all the budget was used for the soundtrack XD.
