My teacher in music class was explaining the different atmospheres different concerts (jazz, classical, rock, ect.) She put on a youtube clip of Whitney Housten at a concert singing "I will always love you". Man, either the teacher didn't know she died or she just didn't give a flip. I couldn't even look at the clip. It was too sad and uncomfortable to hear. :(
The scene where Cinderella and the Prince are waving to their subjects reminds me of the Royal Wedding when William and Kate were waving to the people of England after leaving Westminster Abbey as husband and wife.

Me, like the other girls in my generation didn't have 'The Princesses and Frog". (I'm 18 BTW) This movie was the closest we ever had to a black princess and why so many of us clinged to this movie as children. But right now, I'm re-watching this movie right now in honor of OUR Fair Godmother

When I think of Whitney, I don't think about all the downward spiral stuff that she went through. I don't think about drugs or crazy interviews. I think of this video, because this is how I grew up knowing about her and how amazing she was.
Now, this is how I will remember her forever: shining and beautiful, rising up with a smile on her face.
