This story is stupid (but funny). What an awful name (Weiner) for someone caught in a sex scandal. Even without the sex scandal, I would change my last name "pdq". By the look of his large hook-nose, as well as his Jewish-sounding name, the man must be Jewish. Other bloggers have made the valid point that this ridiculous mainstream news story serves to divert the American Sheeple's attention away from truly crucial issues, i.e., declining economy and continuous loss of our liberties.

Is Marcia Kramer somehow unable to schedule an interview during regular hours? Why does Kramer say she is reduced to barging into Wiener's office with her camera rolling and attempting to shanghai staffers in the reception area into participating in on-air interviews? I'd go running for the hills too!

Standing in reception and pointing a microphone at anyone who will talk to you is not journalism - that is just harassing staff workers at their stations.

You said "Weiner isn't being evasive or 'silly' about answering media questions" last week. I think what unfolded today kinda proves that last week, uh, HE WAS SILLY AND EVASIVE. There was a LOT cut out of that 'doctored' video. The video I saw had Marcia Kramer going into the office and insisting that Weiner come out and "talk to the media!" She also said that he refused to speak the media. About :57 into the video, the press sec. guy comes out and informs Ms. Kramer that, "the congressman has given over a 100 hrs. of press time."

The video I witnessed was about 3 minutes long. CBS played clips of the event in about a minute. They called the cops for a reason.
