His sound is awfull. i respect him, when he are at his studio 'cause outside of the studio he can do nothing...

and also his guitar sounds NOTHING like the record... "okay (again), impossible do the same as the record...." okay.. but do something that sound like... god damn.

Now... some crazed fans will tell that i'm crazy... and i say that i play guitar for 6 years and i tell you: Yngwie Malmsteen own this guy easly... -.-

@HaykenBR I won't say that however each environment is different in sound AND Herman is using a different guitar than the one he used in the studio and believe me the guy is not awful he is amazing live despite a maybe off key night. Workshop is known for awful sounding btw.

@HaykenBR The reason parts of the solo may not sound like the record is guitarists often improvise parts of their solo's live. People like Slash and Kirk Hammett do this a lot, it's normal for people to change parts of their solo's live).

And Yngwie is a more technical guitarist and plays cleaner live, but on the two Yngwie albums I have got I find that many of his solo's (Like Herman's, some DragonForce solo's often sound similar at times too) sound repetitive.

He isn't really amazing live. He's pretty solid, but until you've seen what Yngwie can do live. Or Jason Becker could do live, or Vinnie Moore... u know? Its pretty sloppy I guess imo. He's a good player no doubt, but nothing amazing imo. Just my opinion.

@skezza Yeah but Yngwie isnt the best either. Depends how you define the word " amazing " . Herman plays very very well live and puts on a show at the same time , thats amazing to me. Yngwie plays good live , as for putting on a show ? mehh.

@lfcbenitez123 I didn't say Yngwie was the best. I wouldn't say Herman plays well live. Too many times I've viewed videos where he has struggled to play half the solos correctly. Yngwie plays fantastic live. Rarely makes a mistake. I'd say neither of them put on a great show, but when I go to see a band, I want to hear the music, not see them throw their guitars around their necks. Yngwie is a criminal as much as any for doing that, but it just bores the shit outta me.

They speed up the solos in the studio and when they have to play live....oops no speed up machine availble. Herman has improved a lot though, but what about totman. He isn't able to play shit live.He is one of the worst guitarists i have ever heard and he has signature guitar!!!!

Ive seen the band live , in REAL LIFE , and they are fucking phenomanal , in fact thats an understatement. Not only has herman and sam improved but they have far exceeded alot of metal guitarists.
