  • Видеокарта очень слабенькая)

  • Will this thing stream Netflix videos effectivly?

  • @LedZeppelin4ACDC this aa1 probably will only if the videos are not hd, but this is an older model which they don't sell, most of the newer ones can watch HD

it really depends on your internet if its fast enough to stream Netflix

  • "downtone", lol. "Pretty good"? You've been saying that for quite a few games you've tested with this netbook. You're giving the impression that you're trying to justify your purchase or something. In almost all of the games, outdoor environments and things like that are completely unplayable. A STEADY 18-30 fps might be pretty good, but 2-15 fps outdoors and 12-22 fps indoors equals "don't waste your time". I'm picking one of these up & will be choosing games carefully. Likely UT2k4 & BF1942.

  • @ragejg ahah nope i wasn't trying to justify anything, it was playable for me and i used to play that game alot, its just i tend to see the bright side of things and i'm used to lower frame rates

well you can choose what games you like to play, i just choose these to show them because its impressive that they could even run, i don't show games that everyone already knows can run on it. plus someone requested this one.

  • @ragejg and.... your point is... those are older games of course they will run a lot better but these are newer games made in the age where we have strong graphic cards

  • @nathan82828 yeah but i had it already placed in a good position at the time but then i bumped it and forgot to put it back in the better position

  • New company brand of cpu's coming to a store near you, Incronx57 8core uses socket 1366 by INcron CORPARATION! this is NO JOKE GUYS! these new brand of CPU's use a Core Voltage of 3.1, and each core is clocked at 5.6 ghz! anyways sorry if this feels like spam to you all. but it's not! anyways keep the peace. and yes these acer net books are da shit!!

  • @kewlkill20 ahhah nice

  • I smell the processor burning (happened right out of the box when I first played Half Life 1 on it)

  • @SandstonRedneck2 lolz what?? are you serious, yours burned out?

  • @sirmousalot11

I put a little to much programs on it such as Half Life 2 (ran gmod 9 on a nolag map) I was using it until I got a new desktop since the old one's mobo overheated due to a failed cooling system (Dell BTX chassis)

  • @SandstonRedneck2 ouch, you don't have much with heating issues on computers =P

  • how overheated does it get

  • @ownyou23 not very much it actually stays cool most the time usually only gets hot if youve been gaming for a long time

  • @ownyou23

on mine quake live @ 71c

  • Uhm... Now I can see why Apple avoided netbooks in the first place.

  • @Gipuloe LOL, but netbooks are still extremely popular, and they've come a far way (they've got nvidia IONs now which can play games like Resi5)

  • @sirmousalot11

That's true. I'm just a little upset that the ION 2 hasn't become a mainstream thing.

  • @Gipuloe well its starting to get more popular, and the computers that use em are becoming cheaper, you can even get one for like 399

  • @sirmousalot11

Do you know of any netbook/laptops that use them around that price range? The only one I can think of is an ASUS laptop.

  • @Gipuloe actually yes the HP mini 311 with the Nvidia ION, uses a more efficent vid card then the asus n10, and it is actually has a cheaper base price too and it can upgrade to 3 GB of not ddr2 ram but DDR3 RAM (better ram) price starts at 399 i think

  • Dude thats kind of unplayable : ( cant really enjoy it with that lag

  • @Tashyp ahah ah well to each his own

  • @sirmousalot11 I guess so, if you really enjoy playing it that way -_-

But trust me in a multiplayer game, running it like that. You wouldnt last.

  • slow!

    try half-life 2

  • @nooblet911 actually half life 2 works well, i haven't made a vid of that because there's already a vid of that, it runs better than Doom 3

  • @sirmousalot11 plz make a vid of hl2

  • thks dude thats all i need to know thank you man!!!

btw you suck at quake 4 XD

  • @kyttiemetal ahaha i know man lolz, and no prob

  • I got one of these off ebay and am hoping it will play silent hill games, I think its odd that my computers that can play ps2 graphical games can't play fear or left for dead well when those games are next gen but are not the best graphics, i guess they use a completely diff system,

Like silent hill 4 the room looks better than fear IMO and yet fear would be harder to play.

  • can I use the Acer Aspire one to play WonderKing Online?

  • yup yup, you should be able to

  • for future reference...

when a in game video plays it requires less resources bc it's just a video. It doesn't have to render any 3d models. Actually, the video is just 2d images. I've noticed that in a few of your videos you mentioned that it runs well when a video is playing.

  • ya but often times the videos are high quality and use alot of ram, and they often show when a game is loading (thats there are some hacks out there that downgrade the quality of vids or disable them completely)

  • @TheBigMan0706 yah you should be able to play it

  • I have an acer aspire one 10.1 inch screen, and it has only 8 mb of vram. How did you change ur vram to 224? Cause I really doubt it was the default configuration.

  • the vram is capable of reaching 224mb, but since it is not dedicated and its borrowed from the normal ram, it fluctuates on how much it has, if your doing somthing graphic intensive it will borrow more ram, but if your not doing anything it will only borrow minimal ram so that you can multi task easier

thats why when ppl are watching HD vids on this and they're trying to run something else at the same time, it laggs, because the RAM is lower

    hope this helps

  • how much lag wd gamebooster reduce the lag plz respond. also dose it have viris.

  • i thought tht this netbook didnt have a disk drive

  • i have a external CD/DVD drive/burner :D

  • make an image(iso) copy of the game.

Install a virtual drive like magiciso.

    Mount the iso.

    No optical drive needed.

  • well i installed it, and i don't need the disk after its installed =)

  • What did you install? Virtual drive?

That's what it's supposed to do. Elliminate the disk.

  • i installed the game, it doesn't need the disk post installation

  • That is bcoz you have an external DVD drive. The guy that was asking does not have. So how can he install it to his netbook?

  • also wd i be able to play quake 4 well in my aa1 2g of ram 160 hd and intel gma 950 plz respond

  • sorry for the late reply, but yeah it should work maybe a little bit better :)

  • ty so muchhhhhh

  • no prob man

  • we i be able to play doom 3 on the aa1 with 2g of ram and 160 g hardriveand intel gma 950 plz respond

  • you definitely should, possibly better than mine :D

  • dose this laptop have a disk tray plz respond

  • unfortunately not, thats mainly how these computers can cut down in size, although you can buy a cheap external dvd/cd drive (sometimes you can get them for free depending on where you get it)

    sorry for the late reply

  • a bit laggy

  • yup yup (really depends on your perspective)

  • @sirmousalot11 game lags but its strange that it can run on laptop like this

  • i know right?

thats why i uploaded this video, all my videos are of games that you wouldn't think would run

  • thanks for the video.

  • no prob, thanx for the view :D

  • When you skipped the cutscene and got stuck, the guy's face looked like Seaman (creepy fish type game for the dreamcast)

  • lolz

  • keep this view please =)

  • Can you tell me how you installed it?

  • its pretty easy, all you have to do is pop in your disk (via external drive) or buy a digital copy and follow the instructions the instillation wizard tells you to do

  • thanks

  • your welcome man

  • can you tell me if you have d150 or d250:-??

  • actually i have the a150 i believe it's the 8.9in screen one, i got it a few months ago =P

but i know alot about either one so if you're have troubles you can always PM me :D

  • ahah chill man

its a matter of opinon if whether you think its playble

i've played with worse lag, so to me this is fine =P

  • you think l4d run good in the acer aspire one? sorry about my english

  • ahah i have a video of l4d running on the acer aspire one, just check my site to see how it works ^^

  • I would love if you could do a video of Far Cry 1 running on your Aspire One. It;s a free download from Ubisoft, It;s a few years old, but a great game to LAN with.

My friend and I both have Aspire Ones (mine is in the mail as we speak) so it would be cool to see the reults before we try it.

Thanks for the videos, keep making them!

  • haha wow its free now, i should check it out ^^

i think i will do a vid review of that soon, when i get a new vid cam, (my old one was my bro's and he took it to college lolz)

  • use it for old school gaming like quake 1, red alert 2, warcraft, and shit like that, diablo u no..

  • yeah i game old school on it but i only post vids of newer games

  • i'd say this netbook is not made for gaming... but if you keep it at low end mmo's this netbook owns :)

  • yeah this netbook is not a gaming computer, but still its awesome playing some games on it...

  • KINDA laggy? RUNNING WELL? Jesus man I must be very very picky then with my gaming.

  • that or i'm not picky at all =P

i play quake 1 and 2 on my DS and it runs at like 10-14 so i'm used to it...

  • I do not like games which run only with about 20 or even less fps. If you want to play games on best resultion, try Max Payne 2, GTA Vice City and Trackmania, which is avaible for free.

  • i generally like FPS's as you can see from all of my vids...

  • download 1.4.2 update for dual core support should help run teh game a lil better. man I really need to get a new video card or finally start to custom build a PC

  • haha yeah i suck at hardware stuff though...

  • not that laggy and if you put everything on low it would run perfectly but I was wondering if I could put the Nvidia Ion on the acer aspire one.

  • hmm.. i heard alot of ppl talk about putting Nvidia Ions in the AA1, but i'm not the best person to talk to about these things, i'm not good with moding hardware...you could prolly google it

  • quake 4 is a game that requires reflex and jumping around and with that.. uh

better off with original quake. did you try doom3?

  • yeah i have both quake and quake 2

i didn't try doom3 even though i have it...Gonephishing has a vid about though, in his Gaming on the Acer Aspire One series...

  • dude i tried doom 3 and i consider it playable if you turn off pretty much everything, then i installed Doom 3 OpenCoop, and me and my brother have been playing it ever since, im gonna make some vids of that :D

  • k this is only like 12-15fps its too laggy

  • actually this is slower than when i play it in later levels, i remember this one level i was killing several strogg with two of my buddies and we all had flash lights on and we were were blazing away and it only dropped a few frames there, the beginning is slower than later on...

  • im gonna get an aspire one!

    i want one so bad.

  • yup its an awesome little laptop, very reliable :D

  • turn off specular. it will look uglier but im almost positive it will run better.

  • hm, it works fine for me later during the game even with specular on, i was in this dark stage with my AI buddies and all three of us had flash lights and we were all shooting at like 10 strogg and it didn't lag at all :D, the lag you see there is even more lag than there is in even more open places, so idk what happened in the vid there...

  • sorry my bad. it has almost no difference whatsoever. but it does not make your computer run a little bit cooler. that's the only difference i noticed. one other thing, post some vids of you playing f.e.a.r. or far cry. idk about those and i want to play them. word on you tube is that both of them run great on aspire one.

  • yeah, i really want to try those games, i'm gonna see if any of my friends will lend me a copy, or if not i might download it because i don't want to buy something that doesn't work, then if it works well enough i'll buy a legit copy...

  • i got the game from the pirate bay. just search F.E.A.R. and get the one from dopeman. it runs good with everything on max except the shadows witch are off and the textures witch are medium. i did not run it on the aspire one, but i ran it in my gateway. it has similar specs as the one. my cousin has the one and it runs the same games as mine.

  • nice, i'll check it out and put out some vids sometime in the future

  • Dude, i got F.E.A.R installed on my comp, its super smooth, i'll upload vids soon :D

  • ok. so what did you use? did you have to down tone it a lot?

  • nope, everythings on high or medium, no lows :D, super slick

  • im impressed that the acer can run this but i wouldent call it playable :)

  • really? um maybe i should post some more vids of later on in the game were it is much much smoother, i've been playing through it and later on in the levels it gets faster than this vid shows...
