  • Awesome! 4 years late in watching it, but it's still a great little movie.

  • thumbs up if u r a fan a avgn sweet video

  • the beginning is siimilar to the italian movie "della morte dell'amore" the unofficial dylan dog 90's movie (not the recent bullshit film that has nothing to share with dylan dog comic), but maybe is just my immagination...

  • Wat is that book that Earl is reading when you first see him ?

  • I think I'm going to have nightmares.

  • That was actually...really good.

  • Really fantastic work from James Rolfe. A refreshing sight from a good independent director of horror to us having a blooder taste from Night of the living dead .

    I liked a lot!

    Brilliant

  • At 14:22 its Motherfucker Mike!!!

  • better up bitch boy....

  • My opinion, get better spat sounds. These sound too cheesy.

  • Awesome

  • Were the names on the gravestones all famous horror directors? I know I saw Bela Lugosi on one.

  • Id have to say thats one of the best horror films ive seen in a while thx.

  • best part was the "power windows" ;)

  • Always enjoyable to see your work again, James. Love watching this again every now and then... :)

  • 13:32, the death of chris bores the irate gamer.

  • why don't they go out and buy a miny mattock or something?

  • dude, this was epic. i want that job!

  • The overture to the marriage of figaro is strangely fitting as ending music to this.

  • Holy shit that was fucken genius

  • Motherfucker Mike was in this movie :D (The last zomie he kills)

  • this was good but the blood didnt look that good

  • 07:16 So that's where "shove it up to your ass" comes from ^^

  • So if the undertakers know for a fact that in general the corpses that they burry return as undead. Then why do they not decapitate them upon delivery? I mean clearly it would be much less work & the mess could be hidden with a turtle neck sweater. So I guess the explanation must be: The government take over of funeral services. I for one blame Obama. As it is clear that Palin as an undead is the result of this liberal venture into undeasness...Which will ruin America & large parts of Belgium

  • @zydilak Hahahaha

  • I always love a good wilhelm scream

  • Masterpiece.

  • What an awesome film. I also noticed that some of the gravestones or if mistaken, all of them have the first names of famous horror movie stars. Like Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi. Also, was the zombie in the car Mike Matei? Because it kind of looks like him.

  • This is so good it got flagged by the little kids that had nightmares over it!

  • Im still amazed that this was done in his garage looks like a real cemetary

  • james was that mike as the last zombie?

  • james was that mike as the last zombie

  • *Insert extremely gay comment about how James should get a movie deal despite the fact that he's overrated and an extremely average film maker*

  • @Thisismytrollingface Its funny because your name is "Thisismytrollingface"

  • "Fuck the dead!"

    ArGgHhHh!

    I jumped of my chair!

  • Awesome job! :D Needs a sequel sometime in the future when your done with the AVGN movie

  • good job james! Is that Casper?

  • good job james!

  • Just like a good old 1939 horror film. Excellent.

  • A gore fest zombie flick in its purest form. Great work, james!

  • i can belive you filmed that in you garage, that must of been so much work, i enjoyed it thanks james

  • @mrmatt2525able He made that in his garage?! Its either he has a really big garage or hes awesome. Or all of the above. Was the driving scene in his garage? I hope not O.O

  • Ass.

  • @THEvampireninja8890 NOOOOOOO :D LOL

  • @giantcatofdeathKAT *snort* glad to see someone appreciate the humor xD;

  • this had better special effects than paranormal activity >_> james is the best!!!

  • u see james is good at being the nerd...but little do people know that he also directed movies and i believe hes gonna be very very very well known

  • its impossile for a zombie to bleed, the blood coagulates within the first 20 hours after dying, but it helps for the gore factor, thumbs up (Uranus) xD

  • Ahah where he rips out the spine reminds me of mortal combat

  • @ToyMachine501 Damn right XD

  • Wow, this is amazing, definitely deserves more views. I mean they probably had almost no budget, and they did this, that's AMAZING!!!

Imagine what James could do if he got like a proper budget. I can't wait till that happens!!!

  • Motherfucker Mike was the roadkilled one XD

  • why are all the chicks fat??

  • @themoviesboy They didnt have a big budget?

  • Just how much did this cost?

  • @jellyfishattack Knowing James it probably didnt cost anything. Other than the props. Thats like, 40 to 120 dollars im guessing.

  • "Death ain't no way to make a living"

  • man!! i love all this! the old fashioned horror zombies! the fake ass blood! lol and the hilarity of it all, avgn is my fav utuber

  • OMG the spinal column up the ass might be the gretest zombie scene i have ever seen and i have seen a ton of zombie movies, zombies movies need way more anal raped death scenes.....way to go James

  • this movie was really quite inspirational for me, it started my hobby of making films. my latest one is also a zombie film athat i made for a competition, it would be nice if you'd check it out: watch?v=5AG5ZEFPCuA

  • loved the movie the only thing that was wierd is the blood. not that it looked fake but umm they are embalmed meaning they have no blood.

  • I liked that feeling at the beggining of the movie of a dark cemetery and there is only that light. Loved the use Black and White. Very good gore effects considering Jame's budget and towards 12:40 i was kind of almost expecting Rod Serling voice to say something like "These two men hold the one of the most unique jobs on earth, but what they dont realize, is that they are in fact, in the Twightlight Zone"

  • Hahah! Nice work! :D

  • Sure is great to see a man that loves his job. A working class hero is something to be right?

  • on 6:28 a tomstone says Bela Blaskó, thats the name of the actor Bela Lugosi from Dracula 1931!! lol

  • @Migelox5 A mere coincidence...or is it?!?!?!

  • Brilliant. The lighting smashed my brain out!

  • Totally Ace, I just loved it.

  • The story isn't up to much, but then I'm not into this sort of film. I can see it as a good concept though, and it does well with what must have been quite a limited budget. If this is a student film, then I'm quite impressed, it's better than most I've seen. What really stands out as being excellent though is the cinematography. The lighting on the set is wonderful and I hope that the director of photography has gone on to do great things.

  • James selln out? noway that would never happen!!! this a great film idea and great short film.i would also love to see a full length film with the right money and actors envolved in it!

  • I just love this so much. I love the way the charcters interact and I love the main zombie killer. Bravo James Bravo!

  • Absolutely gorgeous film

  • 7:46 ITS MOTHER FUCKER MIKE!!!!!

  • I think i am going to play lift for dead now nice work James

  • 7:12 thats the most crazy and kick ass way to kill a zombie i have ever seen

James brother u deserve an award just for those 10 secs of awesomeness

  • 6:37 best part in a zombie movie ever!

  • The younger's dialogue could be improved a little, he came off a bit flat, but I do dearly love the black humor of the older. "Which is it, is he going out, or going to rest?" Which indeed?

I also suggest completely mashing the hamburger meat before using it as brains. The grain texture is far too thin to pass for wrinkles.

  • This was lame on so many levels. Don't do an Irategamer....>_>

I mean it was trying to be to many things at once. Funny, dark, cool erie.....but it was like an double take ed wood flick...

And you fanboys have absoloutly NO LIVES AT ALL. EH boo hoo Irategamer!! BOOHOO SOB!!! Leik mak a real moveh wit sum brain dead derictor 2 mak it nawt sukxorz!!1! :D

    F*ckin pitiful....also 07:28 its head is up its ass...guess it's a liberal.

  • @SporeMK

It was supposed to be like an Ed Wood flick. It's a tribute to B horror films of the early 20th century.

  • shit this would take a long time for anybody

  • i'll shit my pants for sure if i have this job lol

  • Great work. I was surprised at how well you emulated Romero's style from his original "Night of the Living Dead". The mise-en-scene and editing really reminded me of that film, and the music sounds the same. Maybe you used it because the film is public domain? Good idea.

  • i enjoyed that! thxs 4 uploading!

  • Wow this is awesome! Liked it very much :D

  • The fat guy sounds like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre hillbilly

  • @MrTriggerFingerMagoo It is the same dude. Also, that line he said at 9:43 would be spoken by him again. I learned about this in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre audio commentary from the AVGN Volume 2 DVD.

  • @MrTriggerFingerMagoo thats becasue it is him

  • Dude this was kick ass you got some real talent

  • 11:04 Wilhelm Scream!

  • I don't think he would need a million to make a good movie. All you'd have to do is screen this stuff!

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • I LLLLLOOOOVVVVEEE THIS!!!!

  • I freakin' love this short film that you made James, very good work. If you made DVDs for this, I for sure would buy one.

  • Best amateur movie- Ever

  • you are talented my friend !!! good luck with your career !!!

  • this is your best movie

  • fucking amazing

  • master piece of pie

  • Seriously, who flagged this?

  • @Krishdish how do you know if a video is flag?

  • 7:11, Did this guy go to Chiropractor school with the Pretator.

  • he riped hs head off and shoved it up his ass lolz XD

  • I think most people forget/don't know that horror is what AVGN goes, the Nerd was almost a fluke that gotten madly popular, but Horror/Gore movies is what james is good at. He's a good film maker definetly making best with a very limited budget. This short film was great and used it low budget to it's advantage. If he had enough money to do a full length movie I would buy tickets. I hope he never sells out. I could imagine James getting a Hollywood offer to do a AVGN movie though.

  • @lothor1234 189 people have no consideration, no appreciation, or are just jealous

  • @lothor1234 lol 3 months after your comment, hes got an avgn movie in the works.

  • dude, hollywood needs to see ur film making! i'd love for ur movies to be in the big screen!!!

  • I rate this movie 5/5 bloody shovels.

  • Umm... this is exactly like "Cemetary Man"

  • good movie

  • oh yeah.

    the Wilhelm Scream

  • hey james in the opening credits are the catering/ landlords scott and marlene rolfe ur parents or siblings or etc?

  • this is great james, ur ambition for filmaking has inspired me to get into film

  • I smell a new Spieldberg!

  • The Bela Blasko tombstone (6:30) is AWESOME!!!!!

    BELA LUGOSI FTW!!!!

  • It's amazing the whole cemetery was made in his (your) garage.

  • this is a fucking masterpiece!

  • awesome :D

  • I really enjoyed Mr. Klaszky's performance. It's nice that he had some development toward the end, but I felt there could have been more.

The strongest portions of this short, in my opinion, are those segments that are most reminiscent of the Twilight Zone or an old radio drama, wherein there's a slow, careful contemplation of a strange situation. Being a fan of old radio shows, I'd say my favorite part is the excellent sound design in the very first scene. It has wonderful surround sound.

  • Being a horror movie fan (especially zombies!) I was thrilled with the result! Good use of black & white, with occasional spurts of color (mainly red!) Clever writing, as well as acting from all involved! Kinda like Ed Wood meets George Romero meets early Peter Jackson! And what's wrong with that!?!!

  • overall it was pretty good maybe a dawn of the dead movie would work even better but considering some facts this is a work of art !!! Your g8 :)

  • Yet, I wasn't saticfied with all the female zombies getting killed, I thought it was a little too much, in fact, my favorite part of the film was the script and diologue as oppose to any of the gore.

  • James D. Rolfe, this is a masterpeice!

  • Based on cemetery Man, is cool. Is this the same guy from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Game review, the one with the banjo?

  • @Dantesbollocks Delamorte Delamore , u saw the movie too :) The en was a bit awkward !
