You're full of shit, no shitty 323HP V6 (which is what the 2012 Camaro RS has) will come anywhere near 7.1 sec in a 1/4 mile, hell, you couldn't even hit 7.1 seconds in 1/8 of a mile... The 2012 ZL1 which has close to twice the horsepower (580HP) can only do somewhere between 11 and 12 seconds on the 1/4 mile at best... And you never beat that Mustang GT unless he let you win or if he crashed, considering he had almost 100 more straight horsepower than you...

just imagine the amount of money this car will cost you when it breaks down the electronics alone can go north to a few thousands on one repair, not to take for granted that companies nowadays makes a lot more money on spare parts and cut from dealer's only repairs like bad and faulty design that keeps breaking down even after the recall has been fixed. so my suggestion wait about 5 years before buying high maintenance cars of any make and model. not unless you have thousands of $ to trow away

@yumyumluckycharms both 6.2s are pretty close, but looking at them, there are differences in the exhaust and intake. In my personal experience so far the fastest Camaro I have driven is still not as quick as a base model Corvette. I'm not sure if that has to do with weight or power transfer, but the vette has alot going for it, such as the divorce mounted Transmission, lower aerodynamic profile, etc.

@pass2pass17 it isn't a gm add on yet. but I believe these are actually equipped with them. If you look at the driving portion of the vid, if you see the little switch on the steering wheel spoke with a + sign on it, that is up shift, pulling towards you behind the spoke is down.

I drove a 2010 and was not impressed with the performance and the interior is horrible, very cheap looking and feeling. I think the new Ford 5.0 Mustang much better. Yeah It has a smaller engine, but its faster in the quarter mile and handles much better.
