  • Landcruiser will always be the King of offroad or any other terrain

  • @MehboobLota No, it won't. They're great, but there is no "king", because every 4x4 has it's strengths and weaknesses.

Landcruisers are stronger than most, but they're certainly not "king". Various Jeeps, the Suzuki SJ/Jimny, the Defender, the RR Classic - all have various strengths and equal the Landcruiser overall. None of them are "king" because they're all awesome in their own way. There *is* no "king".

  • lol

  • If you are a retard everything is difficult I guess ..

  • Looooooooooooooooooool

  • Getting through mud successfully is all about keeping momentum. That guy was nearly stopped. Also, we have no idea what kind of tires he has.

  • Should of planted it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • range rover is a king offroad , but not when the driver is idiot , range rover is not an offroad car ven tires on it are for highway roads .

  • @cimqe No, it's not the king offroad. The RR Classic could, arguably, have claimed to be - but the modern RR has been evolved into a road car at the behest of RR customers, and as such isn't that great offroad. It's certainly not bad - in fact, it's still damed good - but "king" it most *certainly* is not. It doesn't even have a solid front axle.

  • You need speed to get thur , that is all about the driver!!!

  • Its towing something behind it you can just make out a thin steel cable connected to the bottom of its bumper

  • I'm sure this guy was just messing around that he's tires dont even have tread. An idea how bad the tread looks like probably looks like a Formula 1 tire.

  • Not the driver hes keeping good pace on the pedal not over reving... Tires tires tires.

Not the vehicle either. I have seen buggies on mud extreme terrain tires and in those conditions spinin not as much but they do.

  • what a bellend, shame to see car like that driven by one

  • its the driver, not the car

  • tires my friend... that and lack of knowledge, that can happen in any off-road vehicle btw

  • Traction control/terrain response my hairy bottom!

On shallow, slippery mud like that, without proper tires, every car has divine right to struggle. What's all the hustle about?

  • Fake

  • @hoteltelecoms if you really worked fr them you would realise that this is a 2002 - 2004 range rover which doesnt have terrain response

  • nice spinners

  • rr has a case of crap driver sindrome.

  • That actually looks ridiculously hilarious. You're a grade A idiot.

    Congratulations. :)

  • Wow you guys are idiots.. this is what happens when you run your tire threads bald! New tires on that range rover and it would eat that road up.

  • that car sucks, my brother drove his ford lazer 1992 though 1foot deep sand and way muddier stuff then that.

  • riddin spinners! they don't stop!

  • He's put the terrain response system into sand mode. That disengages the traction control and would make all four wheels spin like this. In mud or snow mode it would drive straight out even on road tyres as the abs and tc would stop the wheel spin and send power to the other wheels. I am an advanced offroad driver for Landrover and do press work and driver demonstrations all over the world so know the capabilities of these vehicles.

  • @hoteltelecoms Well for a person who says he is advanced offroader i think you need to think before you make such a daft comment.

  • @hoteltelecoms Can I please have your job?

  • @hoteltelecoms Its a pre-facelift model and therefore does not have terrain response.

  • OH MY GOD!>!!?@?>#@? A car with bald summer tires didn't make it up a slippery muddy hill!?!

  • Gun it!!!!

  • its like its moon walking....is mj driving?

  • If all the wheels had traction, the fact the car isn't moving isn't the car's problem... It's the tires obviously... They haven't no traction at all.... and I bet the air pressure they had at that moment is the right one... for the road... So please, don't blame on the Range Rover. Still is a great car....

Btw, just the fact of all whells had traction almost prooves Range Rover is a good offroad car. Nowadays, there is one or two cars with diff lock...

  • he is on bad tires and on mud

  • Well no shit Sherlock it's a rang rover sport!

  • Diff lock??

  • @blknwte Nope, this model range rover didn't come with diff locks. There weren't reintroduced untill 2007 when they added Terrain Response. Then they came with a locking centre & rear diff.

  • Mate the tyres are rubbish

  • my rangers rapid on snow mud anythin

  • you might have bold old tyres

  • down to bad driving 98% of the time, yeah tires pay a big part, the biggest mistake most make in this situation is to rev the sh17 out of it, where as low revs wins the day in this situation, better still put it in 2nd high, low revs, gives better torque and better grip, low range would be worse it would just dig a hole, varying the revs, ie, gently reeving repeatedly, no more than 2 grand rpm helps to gain traction and gets you moving,

  • low range might help or terrain response

  • he could probably use new tires

  • @L200dlw

    1. L200 cant turn all 4 wheels as this this RR does on slippery mud, its in lower league..much lower it has no diif lock front & rear

    2. you have no clue about physics what so ever (i.e.friction-tires...)

  • @fulnaizi you have no clue about sarcasm and my L200 did have a central diff lock and trick traction control that stopped the wheel that was spinning and put power to the wheels that had traction.

  • @fulnaizi

most jap 4x4's have no centre diff, or didnt when I was interested!

So they have the same characteristics as a locked centre diff, but any time u used 4x4 it was like this so u couldnt use it on the road, like u can a range rover with a centre diff, to me though land rover have ruined their cars with technology, no choice, but still; could I get this car fixed in the wilderness by a simple mechanic or any modern shite?

  • Jeremy Clarkson would beg to differ

  • Nice bald road tires - I use them for offroading too

    /s

  • those tires look bad

  • hmmm crap tires and or bad driver

  • CHANGE TYRES !!! DUH

  • Range Rovers are great off-road. Your average Range Rover driver and road tyres, not so much.

  • Who said Range Rovers were good off road? The 90% of Range Rover owners who actually know how to use the vehicle.

  • its not the vehichle, its his tires and terrain setting

  • The driver must be an american

  • @ildizastro naw it says it in the description its one of those fags from Kenya

  • @theboss258 is that what yo'mama told you after u noticing her walking sideways?

  • @ildizastro Naw i learned that on National Geographic of Kenya- Monkeys gone wild " Gon lock dong gleek gleek boom chow

  • @theboss258 yo mamas a monkey? Niice to know lil boy

  • @ildizastro Lmfao exactly my point. what a Dumb ass race. Kenya people whata JOKE

  • Poofs Chariots! Looks like hes trying to cross nothing more than the local bowling green. The best 4x4 my arse...

  • I cant stop laughing at this

  • Rubbers with zero grip!

  • This is bullshit.

  • HAHAHAHahhhahahhahhahAHhhHAHHAHHHHAHAHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahhahahahhahHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHahahhahahahahHHAHAhHah

  • Select this and select that..why on earth do people have to have all of these electronic gizmos on 4x4`s nowadays..decent tyres help no end.

I was into Landrovers for over 20 years until I bought a Landcruiser 90 series, glad that I did and have never looked back,it does everything that my old Landrover products did without going wrong and rotting.

  • tires*

  • 1. this is a 2002-2004 rangie, i.e. with no terrain response to select

    2. these are most likely the stock goodyear hp's, great on tarmac, decent on sand, suck in mud.

    3. you CANNOT lock differentials on the L322

    4. you select low range, TURN OFF DSC (dynamic stability control) go gentle on the pedal and you're out in no time

same thing ha penned to me when i first got the L322, once you get used to the car its an exceptional offroader (to me better than the defender i used to own)

  • @kokkinos7377 Finnally, someone who knows what the're taking about i've been commenting the exact same on this video for years. Stability Control (DSC) is not mean't for mud, its mean't for pavement and situations where minimal wheel spin is key.

  • rick people dont give a shit untill they get laughed at

  • wrong tyres...

  • embarrasing or what pmsl get a v8 grand cherokee like me :-p

  • yo hes got that spinners going on

  • errr, after 10 seconds surely he realised it was in the wrong setting?

  • looks like hes go spinners

  • funny as hell.

  • and you see how hard the diff is trying...........wrong tires son

  • wow-4 wheel burnout

  • yah put same tyers on the deffender see what happen

  • Road tyres u noob

  • No one ever said range rovers are good offroad.

  • hahaha bet he wishes his driver's window was tinted too

  • wat he needs is a land rover deffender they are the best

  • I did.

  • это самая конченная машина на которой я ездил

  • Y U NO lock diff??

  • Bald tires, slick ground or this video is shopped like walmart.

  • depends what he was towing if you look at the rear off the rangie you can see a rope

  • Comment removed

  • and they said that X6 was bad off road

  • turn traction off and floor it

  • he probably is running 40 psi in his tires, and their street radials

  • these Rangerover are too heavy for serious off road, you need a suzuki samurai or a lada niva , you cant just blame the tyres it is the vehicle that is not suited to the terrain ;-)

  • jeremy clarkson disliked this 813 times...lolz..... btw nice video

  • If any of you know about off roading you would know that its the tires that's the problem here, you put those Z rated street tires on anything and it will slip in the mud and to those that say "low range" in real life that will just make you rev to hi and stick in the mud, low range is for hills and rocks not mud.

  • STICK IT ON LOW RANGE MAN.

    STICK IT IN LOW RAAAAAAAAAAAAAANGE

  • @GlobalMusicStage that doesnt matter it just chops the gear ratios in half its the tires

  • And what normal person on clay will go by bald rubber?

    Greetings from the USSR. )))

  • XDD

  • stfu the tires had mud on them and there was no fucking trak on the mud soo stfu!

  • the driver was probably fat

  • It's down to tyres- initially disappointed with a Defender until I changed tyres - made a huge difference

  • Comment removed

  • lol all you jeep fan boys. just google rr offroad and look at someone using one correctly, easily the best offroad vehicle bar a bowler wildkat (which is built on a landrover

  • lol yeh this is what happens when you cant drive

  • have you got low range on a Mitsi?

  • the tires are done and u need to use terrain response

  • @L4TIn0St4NdUp terrain response is for useless off road drivers

  • Well the tires were the worst possible. With the right tires, it can do wonders. See " /watch?v=4U-yFmnu0sY" or "/watch?v=AEd4qdvN8_U&feature=related". It`s like trying to go with a skateboard on sand.

  • Want to see what a Landy will pull, type 'Yuppie Contracting' in the search

  • Has anyone seen the Michelin advert that says 'THE RIGHT TYRE CHANGES EVERYTHING'?

  • Try putting it in first and stop SPINNING THE F*CKING WHEELS! Slow, get grip, then accelerate.

  • Range Rovers simply disgust me in every way. Their drivers; obnoxious, horse-riding, lifeless, posh knobs. Usually. And "Why buy a car when you can get a Land Rover?". Well, since you asked...

  • LOW RANG GEAR BOX U IDIOT!!

  • @yuri250333 Not the problem. His problem is not enough right foot, and no mud tyres. Low range would've made his problem worse, not better - he needs momentum to overcome the dismal lack of grip his summer tyres are giving him, and low range wouldn't give him that.

  • Put it another tyres and do it again... ;) (they got tyers of tarmac, sure)

  • Well he is moving forwards slowly though.

  • my goodness. I was going to buy a 2010 Range Rover tonight. I changed my opinion based on this video. I am considering a 2012 Rubicon or 2012 FJ.

  • @salah00007 That wasnt just the truck... i bet the tire was pretty scrap

  • put on the diffs

  • @acpbowring You don't know what you're talking about.

You don't "put on the diffs" - you engage the difflocks. His one and only difflock is engaged. Anyone who knows how a 4x4 actually works would be able to tell that.

This video is from 2007. RR's from 2007 only had one difflock.

Go comment on something you understand.

  • i thought that were spinners

  • tires tires tires tires tires

  • Wrong terrain setting + road tyres + a moron who doesn´t know what he's doing.

  • The original range rovers are good off-road .. these that are for street driving are nice for a reason.. there not meant for off-road.. Like the Hummer for example.. are you gonna shoot at it because the army hummers are bulletproof ?

  • @garibayja123 True, but *ANY* 4x4 could handle that. The problem is behind the wheel.

  • @MadMuddyZuk Well yeah actually that is kind of gay that that 4x4 couldn't get through that mud.

  • @MadMuddyZuk Correct. Range Rover drivers don't know how to drive their cars.

  • Road tyres on gay suv.... lol

  • bad tires?

  • Invisible rope prank FTW!

  • gotta change the setting.. trust me it works in all conditions. ive been buying these since 97

  • real rovers don't come with street tires.

  • He must of had some shitty bald tires or somthing. No wAy a range should have that much trouble in the mud.

  • why dont they switch the 4WD on?

  • @berbagod1994 Shit they have it off??

  • @berbagod1994

FPMSL - land rovers have constant 4WD

  • @berbagod1994 It is on. RR's are permanant 4x4. You can't "switch it on" because you can't disengage it, ever.

It has a centre diff with a locker to prevent transmission windup during road driving, as opposed to, say, my Zuk which can be switched to 2wd or 4wd (lo/high) but has no centre difflock, and as such needs to be driven on the road in 2wd to prevent transmission windup.

  • hahaha that's why if you wanna go classy, you gotta go american CADILLAC ESCALADE

  • Thayer suffer with an abs fault

  • Drop the fact its that car.... take those tires and put em on a mud bogging truck... it will fail too....

  • city boys think that they just buy a 4x4 and think that they can go anywhere! well city kids, its just not as simple as that! rule NO 1, off road tyres, rule NO 2, a winch and rule NO3, experience!

  • moon walker, indeed.

  • Comment removed

  • they are called road tyres ( as opposed to Off- road tyres) for a reason.

  • All i can say is road tires, doesn't mean its s**t off road its just means he should get some off road tires.Traction is the key

  • Comment removed

  • @Tapajara i think its the tires

  • @Tapajara this car is to heavy

  • @Tapajara Wrong Not any vehicle would have effect on that

  • @Tapajara True to an extent but it's actually just bad tyre choice. It's a capable off road vehicle but fitted with road tyres as the majority of the market for them is merely posh people who drive them round town, not people driving across fields.

  • @Tapajara In other words..Buy a Jeep.

  • @Tapajara actually the wheels are slipping cos its shite, thats all you needed to say.

  • proper chelsea tractor

  • I'd bet money it's the tires

  • That's so mess up! LoL!

  • lmfao

  • I thought the range rover had rear diff-locks...guess not.

  • @TheSatnylle Not in 2007. From the 09Y model onwards. Some supercharged models had the new electronic rear difflock (e-diff) before that, but I don't think even they had them in 2007.

  • fords chevys and any other american wannabe 4X4 are useless like just look at videos and u will see what i mean i am an off road man myself and always found range rovers and land rovers to be the beat in the buisness always have been and always will be

  • @ducky1514 Sorry, but I have to stick up for the 'mericans here - various jeeps over the years have rocked pretty damned hard, and matched the LR's in many ways.

Let's face it, though, decent 4x4's are built, not bought. And if you know what you're doing, you can build a decent 4x4 out of anything with solid axles.

Which this LR doesn't have at the front...

  • @ducky1514 That's funny. Rover has worst depreciation, worst customer satisfaction, worst mechanical reliabillity, etc etc. Now Toyotas, Nissan, etc are made in the US. I'm not saying US vehicles are superior but Rovers are for people who love to fix blown head gaskets, dead fuel pumps, leaking airbag suspension, etc etc. I'd love to wheel one but I can't stand the down time. I'd rather buy an I-6 engined Jeep Wrangler and fix it for cheap than pay a premium for Rover parts. Rover quality sucks

  • ok first rule have tread on your tires

  • Mrruski96...... No no no you got that saying all wrong!..... It's "First On Race Day".....lol

  • I own a 2004 L322 Range Rover Vogue 3.0 td6 and i can assure you don't notice if you are on a highway or of you are in the middle of the mud, my Rangie has never let me down and I went on muddy roads with very very used M+S standart Good Year Wrangler (let's say 2 tyres were illegal to use :) )

  • I said it and im right it stills move with a wrong tire

  • sum bald ass tires eh~

  • dam its trying to do the moon walk rip mj :"(

  • Get proper tyres!!! Never had any issues like this with my old '84 Rangie, even in the worst terrain it's just change to low, engage diff lock and crawl out...

  • because of the tires

  • Obviously it's not good offroad it's a F***ing Range Rover. Land Rovers are better ;)

  • @akpolo21aong stupidest comment ever :D Do you ever think when you say things like this?

  • @rahimhussany what's wrong with my comment? I said something and it's true... It's not my fault if you can't understand such a simple comment.

  • Comment removed

  • and that is why range rovers are the best off road vehicles in the world they even above the hummer

  • @akpolo21aong To be fair, this isn't the RR's fault - it's the idiot behind the wheel and crap tyres. Drive a Defender like that with those wheels and tyres and it'd be just as crap.

I'm not saying RR is as good as LR - hell no - but this vid doesn't prove anything other than idiots buy RR's.

  • Comment removed

  • No car is better than the fool behind the wheel.. Change the tires

  • Just to reply, everyone says they are good off road.

  • Just like most SUV's, owners fit standard road tyres. We had really bad snow last winter and lost count of 4x4's stuck in snow with low profile 'sports' tyres. I drove past in a VW Polo with snow socks on.
