Her voice isn't an issue, and I don't know of her personality but the obvious physical flaw she had was her teeth. You can't tell from the picture, but she needed some dentistry. The sad thing is something as simple and common as braces (proactive) is all she probably needed. That's probably what they were fixating on since "worst case scenario" (ie- no makeup) she's "normal looking".
